"just drive already!" you exclaimed exasperatedly

"have you got everything?" he asked ignoring your comment

"what do you mean everything all i need is my purse!"

"that doesn't answer my question"

"stop stalling and just bliming drive!"

Lani laughed from the back seat

"you guys are so oddly perfect for each other"

"hm glad you think so, because I'M gonna be sticking around" you said matter of factly "your brother on the other hand is a bit of a loose screw so I would keep an eye on him"

she laughed lightly again and you turned back around to face out the window.

"tubbo, honey, chill. don't tense up so much your fine, we are literally driving a mile to the store"

he hummed in reply and kept his eyes glued to the road. you rolled your eyes and opened your phone.

"oh message from dream." you said casually

"oh cool, it about monday?"

"uh dunno bout to check"

"WAIT WAIT WAIT" Lani interrupted

"OKAY ONE, YOUR DM'ING WITH DREAM??! AND TWO YOUR THE PERSON HE'S DOING THE MINECRAFT VIDEO WITH ON MONDAY?!?"

she stared at you gobsmacked.

all that passed between her lips was a shaky "bruh"

on the way you passed the store from yesterday. there were a few people lazily milling in and out the doors, looking bored or miserable.

when you got to the shop, the place was filled with colour and music. the soft buzz of chatter also wound its way down the aisles.

"oh!" you gasped "its ellie!"

"who is ellie?" tubbo asked confusedly

"haven't I mentioned her before? she's my best friend, she's the reason I did so well with my YouTube and twitch. she helped me edit and played Minecraft with me and was always there for me" you smiled "I need to Introduce you! come with me!"

you dragged him by the arm over to the fresh produce aisle she was stood in.

"hey ellie!" you said brightly as you walked over to her

she looked up from the carrots she had picked up and looked down again.

"oh hi y/n"

the way she said your name was like she was talking about someone that irritated her. it was the voice she used to make fun of her brothers.

"um how are you?"

"I'm okay. not that you care."

"what- what do you mean?" you asked puzzled. "I just asked you, why would I ask if I didn't care?"

"well why would you tell me that you would be my best friend for ever if you weren't gonna do that?!" she asked angrily.

"w-what?" you asked again

"oh no, no no no. don't you go all innocent and pretending you don't know what I'm talking about."

"ellie I genuinely don't know what your talking about!" you started to panic

"I'm talking about the fact that ever since you have been talking to these STUPID Minecraft players, you have had just about ZERO time for your so called best friend. and I am DONE with being the second most important. NO. MATTER. WHAT. it was all about your stupid youtube or your pointless twitch accounts. and now you met these fucking idiots online who have just taken over your whole life! don't you see what you've become?!?" she hissed. the whole store was now watching through shelves and around the edge of stacks of coke.

"you've become another stupid mindless little drone attached to some video game"

"ellie..." you said, on the verge of tears now

"no y/n don't be a baby you know it's true"

"excuse me." tubbo butted in "but that's my girlfriend your talking to."

"oh so those pictures on Twitter were real were they?"

"no- not back then, we barely knew each other then" you managed to let out the words without collapsing into tears.

"whatever"

"you need to chill out okay?" he asked her sounding pissed off. "she didn't do anything wrong. for one, she is allowed to have other friends. two if it bothered you that much that she didn't contact you, why didn't you contact her?! she has been through so much and you are right now making her go through all this shit making everything a thousand times worse. so we are going to buy our suplys, go home. and make a fucking cake."
