"Where are we going? We completely ditched the welcome home ceremony they set up for us." I giggled, Hades smiled happily at me.
"I planned something for us, it was completely rushed because it was last minute but I wanted to do it." He said, I looked at him with a smile.
"I wonder whatever could you have planned my dear husband." I taunted, he chuckled as he drove—I was no longer in my wedding dress but a beautiful flowy dress that Hades had picked out for me.
"Only the best gifts for my lovely wife." He spoke, I rolled my eyes—I loved his cheesy behavior and the fact he hadn't let go of my hand since we left.
I felt unbelievably happy in this moment, he was this great gift of absolute love. I never thought I'd have a mate, and even with our bond basically diminished I still felt an unbelievable and real connection with him. I realized even without the mate bond, I still felt absolute love towards him—I knew our connection was more than what the moon goddess created now, even after I learned about wolves and mates. I knew that even without our wolf bond, our love was endless.
"Where are we going? I know where, but why?" I asked, he chuckled as we slowly began to arrive at what I guessed to be our destination.
"Well my dear beautiful wife, I decided to surprise you—I wanted to do something for us, but also for you because my time here isn't guaranteed and I want you and our children to see our love in it's glory completely untouched." He said, my eyes filled with tears and my heart clenched with the love in his eyes.
"Hades—" I whispered, he smiled but his eyes were sad.
"Let me do this my queen, let me show you and our future son or daughter that I left this world loving you unconditionally—that I loved him/her with my last dying breath and that I fight to live every day to be by your side and to be the father I want to be so badly." Hades spoke to me, I felt his words hit my heart and I wanted nothing more to cry about how unfair it was.
