I was forced to stay in my bedroom, I felt hurt that I was once again locked away. I woke up 2 days ago to find out that the door wasn't unlocked like Hades promised it would be.
It had been what I guessed too be 2 days, not a single person had come to check on me and once again I was going hungry. I had been having flashbacks from when I was imprisoned with my parents, I had no freedom back then and now it was taken away again.
I was 8 at the time, the beatings were strong but not as bad as what happened this day.
Before I completely fell blind, I could see for a few minutes then I wouldn't be able to see.
I decided to be dumb, I was a kid and I wanted to have something to play with. So I snuck out because I realized the didn't lock the door. It was foolish, as I stole a small beautiful doll with black hair. It was so beautiful and I wanted it for myself, I had been good and I believed I deserved it even if my parents hated me.
I was wrong, I didn't deserve it. It was supposed to be a present for one of my cousins until I got my 'cursed' fingers on it. I remember my mother's angered face, it was so raw and unloving I remember crying and screaming before she even raised her hand. That was the first time I felt the brutal pain if a belt against my bare back, 8 times as my skin bled and I curled up in a bawl and cried all that night.
"NEVER STEAL FROM ME AGAIN! DO YOU UNDERSTAND." My mother screamed, her voice loud and bold that it sent pain through my sensitive ears.
"Yes Ma'am," I said, she wasn't my mother I didn't have one.
At 9 my eyesight was completely gone and I was stuck in the dark.
I flinched, I felt myself grow scared of being locked in this room. Why didn't Hades care about me? Was I a mistake? Did he regret accepting me?
