Miranda and Ben both took a week off. Miranda decided to take a week off so she wouldn't be an emotional train wreck, and Ben was just there for support. That week was amazing. Miranda, Tuck, and Ben were having so much fun. But on Monday, Ben and Miranda had to go back to work. So Miranda dropped Tuck off at daycare, changed, and went straight into surgery.
Miranda just finished her surgery and went into the attendant's lounge to meet her best friend, Callie.
"MIRANDA!" Callie screamed.
"Yes, Callie?" Miranda asked her very loud friend.
"What the hell happened to you?!"
"What are you talking about, Callie?"
"You dropped off the face of the Earth!"
"I was sick."
"SICK MY ASS!" Callie shouted.
"Lower your voice, Calliope."
"NO! I have a right to know where my best friend and my godchild have been for the last damn week!"
"Okay okay. We were by Ben."
"Warren... Why were you both by Warren?"
"Tucker cheated on me."
Callie's eyes boiled in anger, but also remorse for her friend.
"Are you okay honey?" Callie hugged her friend.
"No, but I'm getting there. That's why I took the week off. Because I'm depressed and just a drunk mess."
"Drunk?" Callie rose her eyebrows, knowing that was out of character for Miranda.
"Yes. Drunk. I got drunk and embarrassed myself."
"Oh, girl. What did you do?" Callie sat down next to Miranda.
"I drank all of Ben's tequila, grinded against him, made him rock hard. Then I cried all over him."
"Wow. And you guys didn't have sex?"
"No Callie. Ben isn't the type of person who would take advantage of a drunk girl." Miranda explained. Callie snickered, not believing her.
"It's true. He felt guilty when he said..." she trailed off, realizing what she was about to say.
"He said what Miranda?"
She had to say it now, or she would never hear the end of it. Miranda told everything she could to her friend.
"Why didn't you accept his AMAZING offer, Miranda?"
"Because I'm technically still married."
"To a man who cheated on you. And YOU ARE DIVORCING RIGHT?"
"Yeah," she said unsure, "but that's going to ruin our friendship."
"Haven't you heard of friends with benefits?"
"Huh?"
"You have a friend who cracks your back every now and then."
Miranda blushed at the thought. "I could never do that."
"Girl you haven't had any in the last..." Callie counts on her fingers.  "Girl I don't even know how long."
Miranda rolled her eyes at her friend's exaggeration.
"You need someone to clean out those cobwebs in your..."
"Don't even finish that sentence."
"Okay. At least take him out for dinner to show your appreciation."
"Mmm, that sounds like a good idea."
"And then, you two can bang it out in the back of your car."
"HEY!"
"Don't knock it till you try it. Me and Mark do it all the time."
"You're going to end up pregnant with that man whore's baby."
They both laughed. Callie's pager went off.
"That's my 3:00. You sure you'll be okay alone?"
"Yes. Now go see Mark."
They both giggled again.
Miranda thought about the idea Callie gave about the dinner, and she made up in her mind that she was going to ask him.
