It took three buses and a train to get there. Precious money that he didn't have, wasted traveling across the city on a whim.
He had spent the entire morning just trying to figure out what he was supposed to wear. Obviously this didn't require the same level of business professional he would usually go with for an interview. But he didn't want to appear unkempt either.
In the end he went with a heavy, medium gray sweater that hung loose upon his frame. Paired in with dark jeans that were just the right amount of tight. Had styled his hair and used his normal little bits of make up to even out his complexion. To rim his eyes and make his lips appear soft and pink.
The building was far nicer than he imagined it was going to be. Located between a twenty four hour gym and what he thought might be a bank, it appeared almost demure. There were no signs, nothing marking it for what it was. Just a simple welcome sign, urging him to come in.
There was a bored looking man sitting at the front desk, chin dropped into his palm as he idly scrolled through what he assumed was the computer screen before him. And he almost hesitated, not really sure he wanted to disturb him, despite his current status as a potential client.
"Hi, sorry to bother you I just -"
"Who are you here for?" The voice sounded so incredibly done with the entire scenario he had been placed in. Dark eyes glanced up at him, traveling along the length of his body before sliding back up. He couldn't even tell if he was impressed or not. Just bored.
"I have an appointment with Yoongi? I'm Kim Seokjin." It was almost comical, the way the other's face changed. A moment of surprise and then instantly being trained into a false sense of brightness that almost gave him whiplash.
"Right, of course. Welcome, Seokjin. Please forgive me for my unprofessional behavior I just -"
"It's okay, you know. You really don't have to keep up the act." The fake customer service voice and smile. He knew them instantly. Realized he had developed his own years ago and had prided himself on never letting it slip.
"Oh good. Not to be dramatic, but talking like that makes me want to die." He watched as the other pushed himself up - and he realized that Yoongi was tiny. A full four or so inches shorter, shoulders and waist and hips far narrower than his own. But there was something about his presence that made up for it. Top it off with the current slate gray of his hair and the endless dark pools that formed his eyes, and honestly, it was difficult not to be intimidated. "Come on then. Let's get you started."
The office space was small - an open concept that gave absolutely no sense of privacy. But he quickly realized that he was the only one there, a fact that had most likely taken place by design instead of accident. There was a single table around a half wall, and he waited until Yoongi had pulled out one of the chairs, gesturing for him to sit down before actually doing so.
"So, the way this works is we gather some information from you. Name, age, basic stuff. Then we're get into everything else." He watched as the other retrieved a tablet from where it was plugged in against the back wall, resting on a small table that seemingly only served that purpose. Thin fingers tapped against the screen, swiping slowly before placing it in front of him, the proper forms already loaded.
"What do you mean, everything else?" The basics were expected. He had been expecting that. But everything else? He didn't have the slightest clue.
"Right. Mostly it'll depend on how you answer the first part." Of course. That made sense.
He took in a deep breath, before lifting the device gently, holding it carefully within his fingertips. Glanced down and read the first question, tapping against the screen to fill in the answer.
