There were hands wrapping around his eyes, cutting off his field of vision and for a moment he almost felt like panicking. Until full lips pressed against the outer shell of his ear, whispering playful words that had him feeling something else entirely.

"Guess who." But it was impossible not to know the owner of that voice, to not feel a wave of instant comfort and excitement rush over him at the sound.

"Namjoon?" He tried his best to sound confused, tilting his head to the side as far as the hands would allow. Let his lips jut out into a pout that was more teasing than the sad one he had worn before.

"Try again." Those lips were slipping downwards, pressing against the senstive point of his throat directly before his lower lobe, a soft little kiss that had him drawing in a sharp breath.

"Hoseok?" Part of him honestly didn't want to see this through. Wanted to just turn around and capture those lips with his own and finally see what it would feel like. But he didn't Played along as best he could because surely the reward would be even more satisfying.

"Would Hoseok do this?" There were teeth scraping across his jaw bone, and he tilted his head even further back and to the side, until it was resting against the firm plane of the other's flat stomach. Let out something between a soft sigh and a strangled moan, barely remembering that they were technically out in public, surrounded by people who were just trying to get a coffee or tea and not catch a live action sex film.

"Baby." It came out as a whisper, more sure this time instead of questioning. Those hands slipped away slowly, sliding down to his shoulders as suddenly Seokjin was shifting, leaning over and appearing within his line of sight, eyes twinkling with mischeif and smile wide.

"Hello daddy." It was light and playful, and for a moment he honestly thought the other was going to slid right into his lap - and was more than a little disappointed when he only used him instead. Spun around and placed himself across his legs before pushing into the space beside him instead of simply walking around the round table he had chosen.

"Hello baby." To anyone else it would have been so painfully clear that Seokjin was doing this because he felt guilty for having caused him any amount of sadness at all. But his heart skipped a beat, screaming out that Seokjin was doing this because he wanted to. Because he wanted to be like this.

He couldn't decide which one was real.

"Thank you for coming." His own body twisted, angled in until he practically formed a barrier between Seokjin and the outside world, effectively cutting them off and putting them into their own little space.

"Of course. Anything for you." He desperately wanted to stop over thinking. To stop questioning everything. It was driving him insane. To just enjoy what he had been given.

To just enjoy Seokjin.

"I know we never talked about it -" Seokjin was speaking, saying something that he barely caught and he shook his head, trying to break out of the fog that had settled over him. Forced himself to be present in the moment and just accept it for what it was. "- but I want you to know that you're the only one I'm seeing, Kookie. As long as we're doing this, it'll only be you."

He wanted to hear those words. He did. Wanted the reassurance that even if it was only pretend, that they belonged to each other.

Maybe he had to stop looking at this like something that had a finite amount of time. A definite end that would come eventually, sooner or later.

Maybe he had to stop looking at it as something that didn't mean anything. Something that was fake. Them playing pretend. Because if it meant something to him, then it was real, wasn't it?

And relationships came to an end everything single day. Nothing ever really lasted forever. Sure, everyone might have entered into them thinking, hoping, praying that this would be it, but you could never really know.

It meant something to him. It was real to him.

And when Seokjin looked at him like that - like his heart was the moon and his eyes contained all of the stars in the sky and his love was an endless ocean - he thought maybe it meant something to him too.

"It's only you too, baby." Years from now, when he finally looked back at this moment, he hoped he would recall the way his heart skipped a beat before stopping within his chest. Hoped he would remember the way the bell above the door rung at that very moment, a seemingly magical occurrence that was intended just for them.

Hoped he would recall the way Seokjin had drew in a breath just as his eyes had closed. Would feel the soft skin of the other's cheek beneath his fingertips as their noses brushed and their lips connected and suddenly he understood everything. All of the worlds mysteries unlocked within his mind. The meaning of life and love became clear and he was sure he could hear angels singing.

Would never forget how those few seconds felt like they went on forever - yet they were over in a flash. The way Seokjin had smiled, so soft and sweet and beautiful as they pulled away.

How in that moment, it had meant everything.

...

They held hands. Fingers intertwined as they walked along the path of the river, the sun starting to slowly descend, painting the sky an array of brilliant colors that could never truly be replicated. They had drank coffee and eaten cake and laughed until they couldn't breathe.

It was all so disgustingly domestic and normal and everything he had longed for. Everything he had every wanted. And it was right there in front him. Something he could touch, yet it was so far out of his reach.

"What are you thinking?" The voice came suddenly, and he realized that he had stopped moving, coming to a halt and staring out over the water.

"That it could never be as beautiful as you." Where did those words come from? Surely not from him. He could never think fast enough to actually form something so well.

"That's -" Seokjin was actually blushing, a deep red flush that started in the tips of his ears and traveled downwards towards his neck.

"You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." Maybe the words weren't actually coming from his brain, but from his heart. Certainly his over active mind could never come up with things like this. Would never allow him to shift, twist and move forward so the backs of his fingers were trailing along a heated cheek. "In a hundred years I would never see anything that could rival you."

That red was seeping into the other's face, coloring his cheeks and forehead and rendering him speechless. Until suddenly he was moving, lifting himself up on to his tip toes, hands disconnecting and reaching out, grasping each strong shoulder and surging forward until their lips could press together and he wasn't sure if the fireworks were real or only in his mind.

It was nothing like the kiss in the café. No gentle and sweet but something deeper. Passionate and full of fire and his arms wrapped around the slender waist protectively, feeling possessive energy over take his entire being.

They kissed until it felt as though his lips were bruised and his lungs were burning with the need for air but the desire for Seokjin was even stronger. Until they were both pulling away and gasping and those already plump lips were swollen and red.

"Take me home, daddy." He shouldn't. He should listen to Namjoon and not do this. Because it wasn't real. It was only pretend. It was fake and nothing good was going to come of this.

But it meant something to him. And in that moment it felt like it meant something to Seokjin.

It meant something.

So he did the only logical thing.

He gave in.
