"Good morning," I said to my family.

"Morning sweetie," mom said.

I got another "Good morning," from my dad and Josh.

Confused? Let me rewind just a bit.

After I got back from Lee's on Saturday, my dad and his boyfriend got here.

Yes, I said boyfriend. No hard feelings towards them. My parents were divorced and it was quite okay, they're still great friends though.

Dad is bisexual and mom already knew that when they were dating and got married. So it wasn't none of that 'my dad came out as gay after being married to my mom for years' drama.

"Morning, Gale Whale!" Gael says. "I'm going bowling with dad and Josh after school. Are you coming with us?"

I sucked in a breath, "Well, today, I planned to go over to Lee's house, we've been taking awfully long to finish our project and the due date is just around the corner."

"You could invite Lee and Niz?" she said hopeful.

"I'm going to check if they can. But I don't promise anything. And control yourself, Lee is my nickname, find your own."

She laughed, "Okay, loverboy."

"Who is this 'Lee'?" my dad asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Just a friend of mine." I told him.

"Just a friend, huh?" He said with a knowing look on his face.

"Yes, dad, just a friend, whom I'm picking up in a few, so gotta go. Bye!" I yelled as I was walking towards the front door.

"My dad, his partner and Gael are going bowling later today, Elle asked for you and Niz to come."

"After school?" she asked with that angel voice of hers.

"Yeah."

"I think we can make it. Although Niz hates me making plans without telling her first. What time exactly?" she asked, looking at me. I couldn't look back because I was focused on the road.

"Right after school. We leave school, go bowling and then we can finish our project later."

"Kay. I'll need to check on Niz first."

I don't know how it happened, but somehow Lia and her friends sit with my friends and I at lunch now.

"Guys, are you going to the Kin concert?" Noah asked.

"You guys know Kin?" Chelsea asked, surprised.

"Of course, I mean, who doesn't?"

"Lots of people actually." Lia said.

"Yeah, actually," I agreed with Lee.

"Anyways, what if we take my dads van and go as a group?" Noah suggested.

"Wait, that would be super fun,"Chelsea said.

"We could choose a theme!" Dora chimed in.

"Ohmigod, yes! This is gonna be so lit," Noah grinned.

I looked at Lee and saw that she was already looking at me. 'Ohmigod?' she mouthed.

I chuckled lightly, shaking my head  softly so that the others wouldn't notice.

We went to pick up Niz at her practice then went to the bowling place. When we got there, I recognized Gael's blonde hair and walked up to her and my dad.

"Hey." I said to my dad. "This is Lia and her sister, Niz. Lee, Niz, that is my dad and that is uncle Josh."

"Hi, Mr.Kross, uhm, hi, uncle Josh." Lia said awkwardly, giving both of them a handshake.

"Call me Gabriel." dad said.

"Gabriel." she smiled.

We went to get pizza while dad set up the lane with the worker there. "So your dad is visiting? Or does he live nearby?"

"He's just visiting. Although he comes here often."

We played and surprisingly the girls won.

When I was about to sleep, I get a text from Lee.

Hi stranger

Right after I reply I get a call. She's calling me. Holy shit, what do I do?

Pick up idiot

Oh, yeah.

"Hey," I said smoothly.

"Hi," Lee said. "How are you?"

"I'm fine, you?"

"Working towards it," she said but before I could ask what was up she said, "I was thinking, are you down to going out tomorrow?"

"On a Tuesday?" I laughed.

"Yeah?" she dragged out.

"Weird choice but okay. Where?"

"Just this place I like going sometimes, it'll be fun."

"Okay, then. After school?"

"Actually, no. A bit later. Around 9 ish?"

"It's a school night..."

"Yeah, and?"

"Oh. Okay, then. I'm down."
