Uncovering Lia

After they are done with the picture they give their usernames.

But once they give each other that, they start giving each compliments and walking towards the ferris wheel.

"Girls, am I right?" the guy nudges me.

"Yeah." I answer. "Are you and your girlfriend famous or..." I ask.

"Oh, she's not my girlfriend." he smirks. "But that girl with her could be."

I clench my jaw and ignore his comment. "Then what is she?"

"My annoying twin sister." he rolls his eyes.

"You are just frustrated, young one." his sister ruffles his head.

"Don't. Touch my hair." he flinched. "And I'm only five minutes younger."

"Still younger." his sister smiled.

Lia comes back to my side all happy. It's the biggest smile I've seen on her face this month and I end up smiling too.

"Look at this picture with Dani. I can't believe she came to talk to me by herself." she was smiling at the picture on her phone.

The line moves and we are next.

"Two people each." the guy says.

Niz and Elle go on one together. The wheel moves and in goes Lia with that Dani girl. I sigh and look at the side to see that I have to go with this dude.

He swings an arm around my shoulder and we start walking. "Looks like it's just you and me." he smiles.

I shrug his arm off and we enter. "What do you guys do?" I ask him. If we'll be here for a while, might as well make conversation.

"Me and Dani?" I nod. "Well, I don't even know quite sure. Our dad and uncle work at this big company, Campbell Co.?" I nod again. "And we were kind of the popular kids at our school and also known around town. So Dani thought about us being influencers."

"Oh. I'm not going to lie. I've never heard of you before but you seem really chill."

"So. You were on a date with your girlfriend?"

"No, no. We weren't on a date. We came here to hang out with our sisters." I shake my head.

"Oh. So she's single?" he smirks.

"Uhm, yeah... sure, I guess." I clench my jaw and force a slight smile.

"Okay." he nods slowly and smirks.

I clench and unclench my jaw.

"I'm joking man. I know she's yours."

"I nev-"

"I saw the way you light up when you looked at her and she was smiling." he interrupts.

"I didn't even-"

"Shhh." he cuts me off with a finger to my lips.

I look down at his finger, weirded out.

"Don't try to fight your feelings." his hand goes to my shoulder. "I know you like her."

"How can you possibly know that? We've known each other for less than thirty minutes." I raise an eyebrow.

"Dude." he looks at me with a blank face.

"Is it that obvious?"

I broke the classical cliche ferris wheel romantic scene.

At first they were going to be together but I thought, why not change?
