The masked man and the locked room.

Ria arranges some files on a table and reviews what happened after Hema's death "No one was arrested for it son, the case was closed." She concludes and Shekhar thinks for a while "Since we strongly believe that Raj had a hand in this, I think we should search his house."

Ria gave a small nod at his his suggestion and they made plans to leave as soon as possible.

The family is at the sitting room playing board games when Rowan stops Vedant and Shalini from going out before asking of their plans for the day.

Vedant explains that he wants to take Shalini out which annoys Rachna.

"Why can't you wait till after marriage?" She asks but Aniket intercedes for them

"C'mon they are young and in love, these things are meant to happen." Aniket intercedes for them.

Ria and Shekhar approach the door as well "What's with everyone going out today?" Asha sighs with a shake of her head.

"Where are you two off to?" Surjeet inquires at his family.

"I'm off to the market Surjeet, is it bad for a mother to take her son along with her? I don't feel like carrying all the bags today." He shakes his head and replies "Whatever Ria, just don't come home late."

Vedant takes Shalini to a cafe where they discuss their views on their marriage, family and friends.

They seem to be having a nice time but unknown to them somebody was watching from a distance.

Vedant glances at his watch and decides to pass out time by debating with Shalini over Chandigarh and Lucknow as their place of residence after getting married.

As they leave the cafe to the parking lot, a masked man tries to pull Shalini's shawl but on seeing how easy it will be to get her bag, he grabs it instead and runs away but Vedant is quick to move and gets ahold of the man on time.

The masked man knowing fully well that he is overpowered is immediately on his heels but Vedant still goes after him paying deaf ears to Shalini who calls him to stop the chase.

Vedant almost gets hold of the man again but he succeds in pushing Vedant roughly against a wall before narrowly escaping.

Shalini rushes to Vedant's side and gasps on seeing bruises on his head.

hekhar and Ria disguise themselves with makeup and clothings as journalists before they enter the former hole of Raj and his family which is now owned by the Khan family.

The patriarch of the family is a known broadcast analyst while the matriarch is a sought after choreographer. In their neighborhood, they are famous for receiving social media attention.

The new owners of the mansion, Mr and Mrs Khan welcome them in with delightful smiles. After a short interview, Ria requests for a tour of the mansion and a few pictures  of it aswell.

They are assigned a servant for the tour who shows them all the various rooms but one is locked. When Ria asks about the locked room, the servant has no answer to give but a shrug.

Shekhar secretly marks the door and they continue with the tour.
