Vedant sits up on his bed when Indira comes in, he is still confused over the decision to take. She sits next to him and requests to talk with him for some minutes."I and Shagird's father, Anushman were very much not in love at first. It was an arranged marriage just like yours. We fell in love after marriage then we had Shagird, although we lost him to a brain tumour, I still feel like he's here with us. Shagird picked up some of his traits and I'll never regret marrying Anushman even after I'm dead." She stops and struggles to hold back her tears.
"I'm glad Shagird is like him... what I'm trying to say is that I don't support your mother trying to get you married off in her way but you never can tell if that's meant to be your life partner Vedant, I've sent the chemistry you two have."
"If you're sure you don't want this marriage don't be afraid to speak up. I'll coax her for you all you need to do, is say it."
Vedant reachs out for her hand "I didn't think you'll bring up you and uncle's relationship for this case and I see how much it makes you sad so please don't talk about it aunt, I don't want you to relieve your sad moments. I know you all want the best for me."
Ruchi walks in on them after eavesdropping "I'm sorry if you think I'm doing the wrong thing but I'm doing it for you, I can't help myself if it's for your well being."
She narrates how she and Rowan fell in love but Rowan wasn't able to tell Rashmi.
Rowan finally gathered courage and told his mother which led to their marriage.
"Son, I know that I have somewhat been hard on you and forced you to take Shalini's hand but if you don't want to get married, you can back out. I won't be angry because I want you to be happy."
"Mum..."
"Vedant if you are still against this marriage, do what you have to do." She advises him with a heavy heart.
Rowan joins them and tells Vedant how proud he is of him and that he should make the right decision.
Vedant figures that Shagird must have told everyone his dilemma and was behind this gathering, he leaves the room and is pleased to see that he was right, Shagird was standing outside the door with a gentle smile.
"Have you made your decision yet?"
"Not yet, how about Asha? I know you two have been getting close."
"It's not about me right now Vedant, it's all about you and Shalini."
"Don't bother, just think about yourself and Asha."

The bangle ceremony begins and Shalini is given red and white bangles. The wedding sherwani had already been sent to Vedant's house and the wedding is to take place the following day.
Shalini grips her phone tight as she waits for Vedant's call, her knuckles are white but she doesn't care.
The preparations are already done for the big day.
"Tomorrow is going to be a big day." Shalini says to herself before Shekhar enters the room and takes note of her worried face.
"Of course from tommorow onward you'll be called Mrs Shalini Rajput."
She blushes but doesn't utter a word "You can call him if you want to, I'll make sure nobody knows about it."
"Call who?"
"Don't ask as though you don't know. Call Vedant of course, who else?"
"You have joined Asha now to taunt me, for that I'll deal with the both of you later." Shalini replies.
"While you're at that don't get injured else Vedant will scold us, we don't want you see an angry groom tomorrow. It will be bad for the pictures." Asha jokes and Shalini hangs her head with a smile.
Rachna is however irritated by their conversation and leaves the room. As she walks past the rooms upstairs she repeats to herself "What can I do to stop this wedding from taking place?"
She turns around and her eyes fall on Shalini's room before she gives a wide smile and checks if she'll be caught before going into the room.
She holds up the wedding bangles on Shalini's bed and praises herself "You are too good Rachna, now this wedding will not take place."
