My Light

Mystic Falls the small town full of mythical creatures. The magic oozing out of the place spilling over into neighbouring towns. Full of history, lifetime of feuds and love. Secrets were kept and promises were broken and many people were reborn to live for eternity. 

It's a crazy town but it was my home. I had good friends, and my brother of course despite him being a way for a while it's what I had to do to protect him. "Earth to Elena." Caroline said waving her hand in front of me. "What?" I asked turning to close my locker. Yet another boring day at school. "I asked if you was going to be at try outs." "I have to try out?" "Well technically you left the team." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah I'll be there." "Perfect because theres only one spot open so bring your A game." She told me. I nodded with a fake smile, trying out for cheer again... Brutal. 

"Caroline's obviously going to give you the spot but you know what the principles like." Bonnie reminded me. I nodded. "So history with your step dad." I laughed. "Rick isn't my step-dad." I say back to her teasing tone. She rolled her eyes. "Wheres Stef?" "Oh he's running late." Caroline said popping back up. "He's never late." "Something to do with Damon?" "Damon?"I questioned. "He didn't explain much just told me he'd be in class." Whats wrong with Damon now? 

We go into Rick's class and take our seats dotted around the classroom. Rick begins the lesson and gave me an odd look at the empty seat to the left of me... Stefan's. I shrugged and mouthed Damon and he nodded. "Sorry I'm late." He said rushing in taking his seat. "It's okay." Rick dismissed him and continued to teach the boring lesson that was sending me to sleep. History on a Monday morning really wasn't fun. 

There was a knock at the door and then rick answered waving the girl in. "Is this AP History?" She asked in a soft voice. "Yes and you are?" "Arabella, I'm new the office said to come here?" She handed him her paper work. "Take a seat next to Miss Bennet." Bonnie waved her hand. Stefan's eyes were glued to her. I narrowed my eyes at him. He shook his head to have me not bring it up right now. I turned around to the back of the class. And Caroline was scowling at the brown haired girl. 

Stefan was ear to leave the class and we all swiftly followed. "Who is that? You were watching her the whole of the class." "Yeah it was creepy, like you had eyes in the back of your head." Bonnie said. He ignored us and pushed passed me a little. "Arabella." He said almost in disbelief as he held the girls forearms. The girl now known as Arabella threw her arms around Stefan who proceeded to lift her off her feet a little. "Who is she?" Caroline said to us with anger, clearly jealous. "I have no clue." Caroline fake coughed. Stefan pulled away with a smile on his face. "I can't believe you're alive... I thought." He cut himself off when he noticed Caroline burning holes into the side of his head. "Oh right... Um This is Bonnie Bennet." "Oh Emily's relative." "Yeah some where down the line." Stefan said. So she's from 1860's if she knew Emily, or was she older? "And this is Elena Gilbert... She's the "doppelgänger" They said in unison. "And this is Caroline." "Seriously?" Caroline questioned. "Forbes." She raised her eyebrows. "One of the founding families, it's a pleasure to meet you all... I'm Arabella." She said shaking each of our hands. "I'm his Girlfriend." Caroline said when she shook her hand. "Lovely to meet you." She said with a smile not tased by Caroline's jealousy. "So you know the boys?" Bonnie asked she was the first to regain herself. "Yeah, we were neighbours... Well as close as." Stefan nodded confirming this fact. "She's a Carrington." "As in, The witch family." Arabella nodded shyly." "A shame that your powers have gone now." Caroline said pretty bitterly. "No... I don't know how but when I turned I kept my powers." "Of course you did." 

The bell rang signalling next class. "I better head to class." She said with a smile. "I'll drive you home where are you staying?" "The Manor. I can drive don't worry." She said with a sweet smile. "We'll have to catch up after school." "Defiantly... I'll come pick you up we can go to the grill." "It's a date..." She looked at Caroline and her smile faded. "Not a date, I will see you later." She said "Lovely to meet you all." She then left.
