Bella came down with Hope not too long after Kol arrived with Davina. Hope went to Hayley. "Wheres Elijah?" Klaus asked looking around. "We should wait for him." Kol said. "He's not coming." Bella said looking down at her feet. "Why?" "I'm gonna talk and you're all going to listen until I finish and you're not going to leave until I've finished." "What's happened?" Klaus asked her standing up.

"Elena was given an option, me or Elijah... By Esther. She chose me... Elijah was mislead and lied to and Esther used her magic to weaken him so she was no match for him... She tied him up with dark magic and she hurt him a lot. Elena told me what had happened and went straight there to help him. She thought I'd be able to save him and myself but I wasn't able to. She killed him... with the Oak stake. I watched his body burn and turn to ash. He's dead and he's not coming home... I tried to save him but my magic it's... it's a complicated situation right now... Elena did what she did to protect me so I hope you see that. I hope you see she tried to do right by everyone. I hope you will forgive her for what she has done because her intensions were good." "Screw intentions my Brother is dead!" Bex said shouting at Bella. "And you couldn't do anything? You couldn't do a spell to stop her? You've done it once before! You wanted to save yourself because you have your old life back." "No! I tried to do what I could I risked my life to go and save him. I screamed at Elena for what she had done! I tried to stop her I tried!" "Not hard enough!" "Rebekah sit down." Klaus ordered her. "So Elena she lied to you?" "Until we were out of town and then she told me and we turned back we went to the woods to the Lockwood cellar and we tried to get him free but I couldn't. I'm truly sorry for the turn of event. I'm sorry it wasn't me and it was him. Because I know you all need him. I know he held you all together and I'm so sorry it was him over me. If I could change it I would. But I can't. I'm sorry." I wrapped an arm over her shoulders. 

"Well obviously we're killing Elena." Kol said standing up. "Why resort to violence when violence is what got Elijah Killed?" Davina asked her boyfriend. "Because it sends a message. Were a family always and forever." 

She turned in my arms leaning heavily on me. "I don't feel good." She whispered to me whilst the others argued about everything. "It's okay. I got you." I tightened my grip around her waist in case she did pass out. They said this would happen. "I need to lay down." She announced. "Run away from the problem go ahead." Bex spat, I had never seen her so mean to Bella before. "if I was running away I wouldn't have told you what happened. I would have played dumb. I'm owning up. I fucked up and I couldn't save him. I need to lay down." She went to leave and she stumbled so I caught her. "I got you." 

"What's wrong with her?" Klaus asked standing up and coming over to her. "Did Esther do something to you?" He asked cupping her face. "Get her some blood." "No." She tried to pull away from him. "She can't." I tell them. "She can't have blood? She's a vampire it's how she survives." Marcel came back with a blood bag. "No." She pushed it away. "This is why you couldn't fight! Because you're on a stupid diet?"  Bex said angrily. "I'm not on a diet." "She's transitioning." Davina said shocked. 

"I should have Known. The herbs and the rituals I saw you do." "Transitioning to what?" "It's a temporary cure... no blood, no nothing... she takes these medications and she reverts back to human form... IVF for a vampire if you will. It's never been used before..." "I just need to lay down." She insisted. "You need blood your dying." Klaus said. "Thats why your magic isn't working... because you're really going through with it!" Davina exclaimed. "Damon please." She said pulling away from Klaus both arms now around my neck. I pick her up. "She needs to lay down." I tell them firmly carrying her out. I lay with her until she is asleep. And then go back downstairs.

"Is she okay?" Klaus says when I arrive at the bottom step. "She's sleeping she just needs rest." I tell him. "Is she... Already?" "No, it's not been working we've been trying for almost a year." I say looking down at my feet. "She's been this ill for almost a year and no one noticed? I didn't notice." He sounded hurt by his own actions. "She's only just started to get like this... three weeks tops. She sleeps most of the time and then she gets up when people are here." "Why haven't you told anyone?" "When you can't give the girl you love the one thing she wants it's a bitter pill to swallow." "You're both dead... theres reasons why." "I don't care about the reason's... I should be able to give her what she wants to make her happy and I can't so we didn't tell anyone." "A year Damon!" Davina said. "She needs blood now!" "No, she won't take it." I tell her. "The rituals are meant to go on for 3 months maximum. A year, she's killing herself. She needs blood." She pushed passed me.
