ARABELLA'S POV

School the following week was tense to say the least. Caroline wasn't talking to Elena. Elena refused to look at me or talk to Stefan. Bonnie wasn't actively looking for a conversation with Elena. So at lunch it was silent. I looked around the canteen, we didn't have cheer today, well we did but it was after school whilst the boys practice for the game.

"So, are just going to pretend were all friends or?" I asked looking around. Bonnie laughed I smiled at her. "Just saying it's going to be a long eternity in silence if we don't talk." "Speak for yourself I'm hoping off this train wreck when I'm 99." "Specific." I said laughing. "Aren't you too close." Elena said annoyed. "Sorry." I said looking down at the table.

"Why are you even sat with us?" "Because she's my friend." Stefan said firmly. "And she saved your life." Bonnie added. "Really it's fine... I'm going to head to English early." I say picking my bag up and then my tumbler which was filled with a Bloody Mary. "I can come with." "No it's okay." I said with a smile excusing myself.

I didn't go to English. I went to my locked got my gym bag and headed out to my car. I'd be back for cheer. Caroline refused to let me quit... I don't know how that works but I am still on the cheer team. I drove to the boarding house. "Hello." I called out. "Ah, my friend." Damon said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes. "School's horrid." "I could have told you that." He said amused. I flopped down on the couch dumping my bags on the floor. "Elena hates me guts." "I mean you did break us up." "Damon." Whined. "I'm kidding." I through the cushion at him that was at the back of my head. "Good shot." He said, I peered over at him and he was rubbing his head. "That didn't hurt." I tell him laughing slightly.

"So you break up my relationship, hand Katherine over to Klaus, piss Elena off more some how, Ditch school, and now you're abusing me." I shot him evil eyes. "You're on a real roll. What's next? Hell fire? Oh I know! You're going to kill all the children." "Not funny." I said though I was slightly amused. "Will you stop saying I broke you're relationship up. Please." I said the guilt already bubbling inside of me. "Fine, fine... If you tell me why you came back here?"

I sit up. "Well." I begin. "I needed something." "From me?" "No you were dead in my head remember." "But I could give you something... You know I'm famous up in the bedroom." "Sure you are bud." I said laughing. "I'm great in bed and you know it." He smirked at me. I shrugged my shoulders. "I've had better." I said teasing him. "Well I've gotten better." "Ahh so you last longer than 5 seconds now." I laughed loudly. We were both clearly just teasing each other. I didn't mean anything I said. He hit me in the face with the cushion I threw at him as I laughed.

"Anyway..." I say moving back on track. "I needed my mothers spell book." "It's still here?" "Somewhere... according to some witch in New Orleans." "Why do you need it?" He asked standing up to go to the drinks table. "Theres a spell in there Bex needs, I told her I'd find it for her." "What does she need?" "You ask a lot of questions... I remember you being much quieter." "And I remember you being 24 not 17 in high school." I rolled my eyes. "I never went before... had to experience it." "In 150 years you never went to school?" "No, I was with them, they moved around a lot there was no time for school." I explained. "We had fight classes, and killing sprees. They were the only form of education I ever had... You taught me how to read if you remember." "Yes, you were stupid back then." my jaw dropped. "Now who's more intelligent." "Still me." He said handing me a drink. "I have cheer." ""And you're dead... no one cares." I rolled my eyes and took the drink. "So day drinking is your thing." "Yours too apparently... You drank half of my bourbon... you owe me a bottle." "And you owe me a wedding." "Gladly." We again laughed.

I forgot how much I missed his laugh. How much I missed him just being there. "So this spell?" "It's something to do with this tomb in the grave yard. it's sealed with a spell... my mother had the spell it's full of black magic stuff she needs something from it." I explained. "And you're going to release dark magic into the world." "No. I'm going to go get the thing Bex needs, that's not dark magic and then seal the place back up nice and tight." "So what does she need?" "Her necklace." "The one Elena wears?" He asked. I thought back to the silver pendant she wore. "No... Not that. Another one, it's got the daylight stone on it." I explained. "I don't know what it does so not ask." I said before he had the chance.
