"I found it." I say into the Phone holding the spell book with my free hand. "What time is it?" She mumbled. "Like 4am." I say. I had been on the hunt all night. Ditched my friends at the Grill hours ago after getting a tip about this book. Mother hid it well... In a literal well full of vervain water, which burnt like a bitch but I got it. Just took some time.
"I'll be over at the weekend." I tell her. "Why not tomorrow." "School." I could practically see her roll her eyes. "I'll be there Saturday." I sing to her as I walk through the woods. "You better. I miss you." "I miss you too... I have so much to fill you in on." "I can't wait! I have to go Marcel is getting annoyed with me.... he's being rude!" She said more to him then me. I laughed. "Okay well I'll see you soon Bex." We bid each other goodbye before hanging up. Coming off the phone I realised how creepy these woods were, now I wasn't on a mission to find something I didn't feel so brave or determined to me in here so I ran. I ran like a little baby. but I ran quick.
I got to my place and unlocked the door. closing it quietly. "We were worried sick." Caroline said. I pulled a face. "You could have called." Stefan says. "Or answered a call." Care added. "I told you what I was doing." "We expected you back hours ago." I laughed. "It's not funny! Arabella you could have gotten hurt." She exclaimed. I looked between the two. "Sorry mum and dad next time I'll add it to the family calendar and be sure tout my tracking chip on." I say sarcastically turning to the stairs. "Wait they do those?" "No." I say completely baffled by her incompetence.
I go to my room and Damon rolls over. "You're back... did you get it?" He asked casually. I held the book up. He smiled lazily. "Care and Stefan are down stairs... I got lectured like I was 5." He laughed. "Yeah they were worried." I rolled my eyes kicking off my shoes. I slipped out of dress and put on some sweats, I swapped my bra for a sports bra and climbed into bed.
"New Orleans next weekend?" I asked him as I rested my head on his chest. "Sure." He says yawning. "Night." I mumbled.

I sat at the Island eating my cereal but then got lectured again for being out so late by my kid brother in law and his future wife. I stopped eating and banged my head against the counter. Damon held my head in place and slipped a towel where my head would land and then let me proceed. "It doesn't work if it's soft! It won't knock me out." I complained he just chuckled and left me with my new parents.
"I get it. I was out late. but I'm also 170 something years old... I'm good." I say pouring my food away and leaving the bowl in the sink to wash later. "Ahh you're back." Bonnie said coming into the kitchen. "Did you find it?" I nodded. "See this is how normal people react when someone comes home late... they go to bed and in the morning they don't try and bore them to death before school." I say to the couple. "We worried." Care exclaims again sitting with her coffee. "If Damon's not worried you don't need to be worried. If Damon's worried and bonnie's not worried you still don't need to be worried." "So Damon plus Bonnie worried equals us worry." "Great your picking up maths quickly these days." I praise Care patting her shoulder as I took a blood bag out the fridge. "You should really keep these elsewhere. What if someone comes over." "Who's really going to come over? I have no human friends except Bonnie and she's like all clued up and chill about the blood." I tell Stefan he worried too much... he was more fun when he was young. I spilled the blood bag. As I walked around the house getting my school things together. "I'm here." Elena announced coming into the house. "Hi." We all called out from various places around the house.
I packed my bag and met everyone at the cars. Bonnie and I ride together, Elena joined us, she'd pick her car up after cheer. Care and Stef drove together and Damon went into town to... do whatever Damon does when were at school... what doe she get up to?
