chapter 24

"Meredith are you ready yet?" Addie yelled at me from downstairs for the 10th time in the last couple minutes. "No I'm not just like I wasn't the last fucking time you asked" I yelled back really mad now.

I was trying to finish packing to leave for Connecticut. It's now a month later so we are about to leave to go have dinner and everything with Addies family. Bizzy still doesn't know that I'm Addies girlfriend or that I'm even coming which was honestly stressing me out more.

Even worse, I don't like planes like at all so I am stressed to the max.

Addie burst back in our room we share "Listen I know you're stressed and I know you're not in a good mood but we have to go and I don't appreciate being yelled at like that" she said sternly. "I'm sorry okay. I don't know what else to say" i said turning around to face her trying not to yell.

"Stop with the nasty tone" she said pointing her finger at me "I'm not a goddamn child Addison!" I yelled in her face which I honestly felt bad for the second it happened because of how hurt she looked.

"Well right now you're acting like one!" she finally yelled. She reached out her hand to grab mine but I pulled back before she could reach it. I also regretted that because I literally watched her face break right in front of me.

"Wait Addie I didn't mean, I just" I stammered trying to fix this as I watched the tears well in her eyes. She turned away from me so I didn't see her tears but I knew she was crying "I'll be waiting in the car, I'm leaving in five minutes with or without you" she said walking out our door.

I quickly finished getting all my stuff together and out to the car. I put it all in the trunk and got in the passenger seat and looked over at Addies tear stained face. She pulled out of the driveway before I could say anything.

I slowly reached my hand to hers which she thankfully didn't pull away. I intertwined my fingers with hers and ran my thumb over her knuckle.

After a couple minutes I pulled her hand to my mouth and kissed the back of it and whispered "I'm so sorry baby." I heard her sniffle and say "I know you are" with a little squeeze to my hand.

"I love you so much, you know that right?" I asked, squeezing her hand "I know" she said getting off the highway at the airport exit.

We made it to the airport with much time to spare. "Don't we have to go inside and do the security thing and find our gate?" I asked as she took a different way than I remember. I don't fly hardly ever but it can't be this different.

"Did I forget to tell you that Forbes-Montgomerys always fly private?" she asked like it was no big deal "You definitely forgot to mention it" I said as we pulled around onto a separate runway from the other planes.

We parked in a private garage and gave our luggage to the flight attendant. We stood next to each other and I snaked my arms around her waist "I am really, really sorry Addie" I said leaning and giving her a kiss.

"It's okay princess, you'll just have to make up for it later" she said in a deeper voice with a smirk on her face "But aren't we staying at your parents house, we wouldn't want to keep them up all night" i said under my breath "I know how to keep quiet" she said kissing me again.

Our moment was interrupted by the flight attendant letting us know we could board the plane and take off early.

We walked onto the plane hand in hand but my nerves were really setting in and Addie could definitely tell. We walked to our seats and sat down. I had to triple check my buckle and was about to check again when her hand found mine.

"It's okay baby, you already checked" she said intertwining her fingers with mine "I know I just, I don't know, have to be sure I guess" I stuttered as I started breathing fast. She wrapped her other arm around me and pulled me really close.

She was running her hand up and down my side when the plane started moving. The sudden movement made me jump but Addie just squeezed me tighter.

As we started speeding up to take off she kissed the top of my head and rested it there. Her being so close to me was just so comforting, I loved it.

After we were in the air I was feeling a bit better about the whole in the sky situation. After a little while I feel asleep with Addie still holding me tight.

I didn't wake up till we were hitting the ground. I looked up and it looked like Addie had been watching me sleep. "Were you watching me sleep?" I asked leaning up to give her a kiss "You were just so peaceful, it was calming" she said.

"So are your parents picking us up or what's happening?" I asked standing up and stretching "No I have my own car that stays here for when we fly so I'll drive and we will meet them all at my parents house" she said yawning.

I knew Addie had quite a bit of money but this is just crazy. She has a car that stays here? What kind of really rich people shit is that.

She walked beside me and took my hand to help me off the plane. We walked to her other car while the flight attendant loaded in our luggage.

Once we were seated and buckled I finally asked "Okay baby, I have a question and I'm not trying to be weird but like how rich are you?" I asked all really fast. She started driving before answering.

"I have quite a bit of money" she answered "Okay well how much is 'quite a bit' of money?" I asked looking over at her "35 million" she mumbled "What was that?" I asked, not believing my ears.

"35 million" she said louder "And I'm just now finding out about this?" I asked a little more dramatic than I intended. "Yeah you're just now finding out about this, it was never relevant before. Does how much money I have change anything?" she asked, stopping at a stoplight and looking over at me.

"No obviously not, it's just surprising. Your still my Addie no matter how much or how little money you have. Money is a material thing, love isn't" I said making her tear up.

The light turned green and Addie started driving again looking back at the road "You know that was just really sweet and really, really cute" she said wiping her eyes. "Well it's true" I said, taking her hand in mine for the rest of the car ride.

We pulled up to this beautiful and very big house in a really nice neighborhood. The grass was perfectly mowed, all the bushes were perfectly trimmed "Don't be too impressed, they hire people to do all of it" Addie said squeezing my hand.

"This is just, wow" I said as Addie parked in the big circle driveway "It's not too late you know, we could always just turn around and leave" Addie said in full seriousness "No we can't, but it'll all be okay. I love you baby" i said kissing her.

"I love you too princess but one last thing. When my mom tries, and succeeds, to talk bad about me and just be plain mean please just let her. You'll want to tell her off but just please sit through it for me please" she was pleading at this point.

"Okay I'll try but no promises, okay but let's get inside I'm kinda really hungry" i said making her laugh "Let's go" she said taking my hand.

She really is rich rich.
