chapter 23

A/n
Okay so I just realized how fucked up my timeline is soooo we are just going to pick a random date for their anniversary and just go with it. So their anniversary of when they officially got together is June 12 so it is now July because they have been together for a month. Hope that helps a little anyways on to the chapter.

Two weeks later

I woke up to Addies hand pressed against my forehead feeling my temperature. I felt very tired even though I just woke up "Baby what's going on?" I said rolling into her discovering my head also hurt pretty bad.

"You have a fever and a stuffy nose. I woke up because you were talking in your sleep and I could hear how stuffy you were" she explained while I kept my eyes closed and tucked to her chest.

"I don't feel good at all. My head hurts and tummy hurts and my nose is all stuffy" I whined "it's okay baby, we're going to stay home today. We can watch movies and I'll even make you homemade chicken noodle soup, how does that sound?" she asked kissing the top of my head.

"That sounds perfect" i answered. Now that I was waking up more I was remembering what I was dreaming about. I was dreaming about my dad and how he wanted to talk to me after everything with my mom. In real life I just walked by him but in my dream I stopped and talked to him.

After sitting in comfortable silence for awhile I asked "hey baby, when I was sleep talking what was I saying?"

"I really don't think you wanna know" she mumbled into my head. I pulled my head away from her "why would I not want to know?"

"Can we just lay back down please" Addie whined "no. not till you tell me" I said pulling away even further.

"Get your ass back over here" she said jokingly "I'll only come back if you promise to tell me" i pouted. Honestly I probably would have been back over there in a minute no matter what because cuddling with her was just so much more comfortable.

"Fine I'll tell you but get back over here" she said lifting up her arm so I could lay back down with her "do you promise to tell me?" I asked "I promise"

"Why is it such a big deal what you said? Usually you wouldn't care this much" she asked once I was back in her arms.

I went to pull away again but she just held on to me tighter "your not going anywhere. Just relax and I'll tell you" she said

I relaxed into her as she started talking "okay so you weren't speaking in like full sentences or anything just little snippets of conversation"

"I can only guess you were talking about your dad because I heard your fault, you left me, it's not your business and why are you here" she said waiting for me to respond.

I sighed in relief that I didn't say anything more than that. I snuggled my head into her chest and felt her relax "I love you Addie" I whispered before I fell back asleep.

"No I'm not coming out there right now. It's not happening who can hear me? In that case I can tell you the truth my girlfriend is sick and I'm not leaving her for that. But a dinner is not that important! Health is and yes I have a girlfriend but don't you dare tell her. I'm going make chicken noodle I'll talk to you later love you, bye" I heard Addie saying into the phone.

She still thought I was asleep since I hadn't shown any sign I was awake. I was very confused as to whom she was talking but I didn't have enough energy to ask.

She kissed the top of my head "I love you baby, I'm sorry" she said slipping out of bed. What was she sorry for "Addie baby, what was that about?" I mumbled

"We'll talk about it later okay, I promise it's a better conversation for later" she said walking back to give me a kiss on my hot forehead "I love you, get some more sleep while I make chicken noodle soup"

"I love you too" i said snuggling back into bed. I was out cold in a couple seconds, whatever I had it was kicking my ass.

Addie came back in a little bit later with chicken noodle soup in hand. She gently rubbed my arm to wake me up "Wake up baby, soup is done" she said kissing my forehead. I rolled over so I could sit up and eat. I looked at the clock, it was now 1 in the afternoon.

I sat up and Addie plopped onto her side of the bed. I grabbed my food and started eating "Addie baby what if i get you sick? I don't want you to have this too" I asked taking a bite "If I get sick then we'll just be sick together" she said.

"Okay now that I'm more awake what was that phone call about earlier?" I asked "It's was my brother Archer, he wants me to come all the way out to Connecticut to have dinner with him and my parents but I told him I wasn't going to go when your sick and I just don't really want to see them" she said all in one breath.

"Well I'm definitely not big on family either but I think it would be good to see your family. And I don't have to go if your not ready for that yet" i said looking over at her. "If I'm going at all you'll be there. Maybe next month or sometime around there we can plan to go out there for a couple of days" she said smiling back at me. 

I finished my chicken noodle soup and cuddled into Addies side "Are you ready to meet my family?" she asked me kissing the top of my head "Ready as I'll ever be" I sighed.

"Did the chicken noodle soup help at all?" Addie asked sliding so we were both laying down "I think so, I don't feel as gross as I did before" i said laughing a little "I think it's nap time" she said.

"I think so too" i said yawning.

And with that we both feel asleep in each others arms.
