chapter 25

We walked into the foyer of Addie's parents house and it was just absolutely beautiful and huge. "This is a little much don't you think" i leaned over and whispered in her ear.

"Very much. The bright side is their room is so far away from mine they can't hear anything" she whispered back "That is a very, very good thing" I said squeezing her hand.

Bizzy walked into the foyer to greet us without the Captain whom I presumed was wherever Bizzy came from. I forgot she didn't know I was coming for dinner since Addie knew she would say no. "Oh, I didn't realize you were bringing someone. Where's Derek?" she asked, looking at me with a judging glare.

"Probably on a date or at a bar or something. I don't know and don't care" Addie said not sparing any time for Bizzy to process "Why would he be on a date when he's your husband?" she asked still not catching on "We got a divorce" she said flatly

She looked like she was about to faint when Addie told her. I let go of Addie's hand and walked over to Bizzy to introduce myself "Hello I'm Dr. Meredith Grey" I said holding out my hand.

After an awkward pause she took my hand "And I'm Bizzy Forbes. You don't look old enough to be any kind of doctor" she started pulling her hand away "I'm a surgical intern Mrs. Forbes" I said walking back to Addie.

"Please call me Bizzy and what is a surgical intern doing in my house?" she asked coldly "Bizzy, Meredith is my girlfriend" Addie said staring her down, running her thumb over my knuckle "Wow, you can't make a marriage work so you screw the gold digging intern" she scoffed walking back to where she came from.

"You know it's not to late to just leave, we could get a hotel, have a whole bunch of amazing sex then I could show you around tomorrow" she said pressing her forehead to mine while the hand that wasn't holding mine caressed my cheek.

"I know it's hard baby but let's just get this done and over with then we can go to your room and have all that amazing sex you were talking about" i said giving her a quick but lingering kiss "Promise?" she asked "I promise" i said pulling my forehead away but keeping our hands together.

We walked hand in hand to a beautiful dining room. It had high ceilings and had a crystal chandelier.

We got looks from the Captain whom Bizzy obviously had already told but it seemed Archer was late. The Captain and Bizzy sat down next to each other on one side of the table but were very distant and made sure not to touch in any way.

The opposite could be said for Addie and I. We were sitting so close our chairs were more of a bench than seats and we were touching anywhere we could. Our legs were pressed together while her hand was still in mine.

Archer arrived fashionably late "As always" Addie whispered causing me to giggle. ""It's true, I'm always early and it's always 'You should have been here an hour ago' but he's actually late and she acts like he's the best child ever" she said in hushed tones making me giggle more.

Once Archer was sat down at the table Bizzy wasted no time asking any and all her questions. "So, how long have you and your girlfriend or whatever she is been together?" she asked nastily.

I felt Addie tense up next to me so I gave her hand a reassuring squeeze "We have been together for almost three months" I said proudly giving Addie a huge smile "Well how did you even meet this girl Addison?" she asked, turning her attention to Addie.

"After I cheated on Derek he moved to Seattle and never looked back, he found someone new but I wanted to try and fix things. His someone new was Meredith" she said smiling when she said my name.

"When we were getting divorced he was very disrespectful and rude every chance he got and I didn't like how he talked about Addie so I broke it off with him" I said adding to what she said.
