Kaydn POV
This is such déjà vu. All this shopping in two days has made me never want to shop again. I’m so glad Dylan and Shannon have amazing paying jobs or else all of this wouldn’t be here. Of course, I tried to tell them no and that I didn’t want them to buy me any more clothes but they insisted.
“Now, time to finish that outfit and decide on how we want to do your hair,” Shannon said. “Aren’t you glad that cosmetics was my college major?” He took off my beanie and sat me down in my bungee chair. This chair was my life. It was like sitting on a spider web.
He started curling random pieces of my hair and then straightening others. I couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of him trying to make me look like one of his favorite anime characters.
“Child, where are your bobby pins? I can’t do this thick hair of yours without some bobby pins!”
“I don’t normally use them because my hair is always down.” I pointed to my nightstand and told Dylan what drawer they were in since Shannon complained that he couldn’t move to go get them himself.
The next hour was spent putting my hair up in different ways involving thousands of curls or pin straight hair. I finally told him what I thought would look cute with the shirt and red skirt I have for the fifteenth.
“Let’s just put my hair in a messy ponytail with a bow in it. It’s so much simpler than all this hair curling and straightening.” In truth, I was just going to leave my hair down and put a beanie on over it but I decided to ‘spice things up’ a bit.
Shannon nodded his head and continued with fixing my hair. I winced a few times as he gently tugged at some pieces of hair or accidentally pulled my hair with him when he moved to pick something up.
“Ta-da! I’m finished.” He turned my head to where I was facing my mirror to look at what he’d done.
“See! It took like less than fifteen minutes and it looks great; so much better than all that anime looking stuff you were doing earlier.” Dylan started laughing to the point where he was crying. “Dylan agrees with me.”
“Hey,” Dylan started, “this is between you two. Don’t drag me into this.”
“Can we be like that movie called Nora’s Hair Salon?” I asked. It was one of my favorite movies. Except for the part where Nora dies. I hate that part because it’s so sad and it makes me cry every single time.
“Dibs on being Delicious.” Shannon and I turned to look at Dylan who was sat in the corner just smiling to himself. “Who’s going to be Nora?”
“Kay should because she’s going to die on the fifteenth.”
“You have no idea how right you are about that. Jesse is going to witness my death.”
“Are you sure you’re ready to meet him?”
“Of course she is Dylan! Why else would she say yes?”
“Well, you never know! She could’ve just said it to make him feel better about himself.”
“Guys,” I stopped their argument and took my hair down. “I said yes to meeting him because I genuinely want to. Yes, I’m almost ready. It’s been a long seven months and I think it’s about time we finally meet in person.”
The room went silent as we looked at one another, trying to figure out each other’s thoughts.
Boyle: Change of plans for the fifteenth…..it’ll just be me and my mom. Maybe even Jared, he’s begging to come meet you too haha
Well, there goes meeting his whole family, but on the bright side; I don’t only get to meet Jesse, but I get to meet Jared, too. Maybe things won’t be so awkward if it’s the three of us.
