Hermione's p.o.v.

"I just don't understand how you did it." Hermione said.

"Did what?" Fred asked with a hint of a smirk on his face.

"Pulled this off, I mean there was no noise coming from the Great Hall, the magic torches weren't lit, I didn't bump into anyone else in the corridors, how did you pull it all off?" She asked completely bewildered.

He smirked.

"Considering you are the brightest witch of our age I thought you'd have worked that out by now." He simply stated "Think about it, Hermione, the brightest witch of our age."

Then it hit her, of course.

"A silencing charm on the Great Hall, genius, and suppose you convinced McGonagall to put the torches out for a bit, considering she is the only one who is allowed to."

"Yup," he said smugly looking very proud of himself, "and it being the middle of dinner, why would there be anyone roaming the corridors if they are all expected at dinner?"

Fred looked fairly pleased with himself, to say the least. Most of this plan he had come up with by himself and with the help of Ginny he created a flawless plot to 'kidnap' his beautiful girlfriend for one evening.

Hermione looked up at her boyfriend's face, the face she'd fallen in love with, the face that she didn't know what she would do without. In that moment she felt complete and full a feeling that had been severely missing the past few years that she spent fighting for her life.

She gave him an unexpected hug and he was taken aback in surprise. But still returned her hug. She paused for a moment relishing in her happiness.

Once she pulled away he asked

"What was that for? Not that I'm complaining."

"I'm just really going to miss you when you leave, I'm not really sure how I am going to cope until Christmas and I know that it is only a few weeks away but I'm just really going to struggle without you." She finished with a sigh.

He smiled sadly and looked at her with a loving gaze.

"I know Mia, I know. I'm going to miss you too, but I will try and get more time off work, see if I can get someone to cover one of my weekend shifts and I can take you to Hogsmeade but we can spend the entire Christmas holiday together and I might even try and convince Mum to let us sleep in the same room. With Percy not coming home there will be an extra room available."

They walked back to the Head dorms when Fred had a change of heart, grabbing Hermione's hand and he pulled them past the Portrait of the Fat Lady and up to the seventh floor. Fred walked past the wall three times thinking of a place for him and Hermione to just be.

When the door appeared and they walked in, there was a roaring fireplace and the walls, carpet, and sofa were all Gryffindor red with touches of gold here and there. It was perfect. Fred took Hermione and they sat on the sofa and just lay there in each other's arms, content with each other trying to savour the last moments.

"Freddie?" Hermione whispered.

"Yes, Mia?" Fred replied.

"I love you. Just thought you should know."

"I do know" He chuckled. He stirred and started to rise.

"You have to go, don't you?" She asked already knowing the answer.

"Yes Mia I do, I'll walk you back to your dorm."

"I think there might be a few people who you would like to meet." She said with a hint of a grin on her face.
