Narrator's POV
Y/N absolutely hated the town already. She kind of liked Texas, well a lot more than Ginny did.
"Lighten up, Y/N. I'm sure you'll love it pretty soon." Her mother, Georgia, encouraged.
"Yeah, no, this town looks like it could be out of a Jordan Peele movie." She complained.
"Yeah, it kinda does." Her sister, Ginny, agreed as she came to grab another box taking it into the house.
As Y/N grabbed a box, a car pulled into the driveway across the street. A woman got out of the car looking very angry, a boy, who looked higher than a kite, got out as well. The woman started yelling at the boy as he just stood there, which made Y/N burst into a quiet laughter. The woman noticed Y/N and Georgia standing there. Y/N could tell she was embarrassed, so she went to take her box in the house.
It was dark outside already, so Y/N went to check on Ginny.
"Hey, Gin, I came to see what you were doing."
Y/N noticed Ginny on the phone, probably with their dad. He calls Ginny more often than her. She hated to say it, but Ginny clearly was his favorite and he loved her way more. Y/N noticed when he would send Ginny books all the time, when he only sends her morning and night texts and calls Ginny all the time, when he'd only call on her birthday and sometimes on Christmas, and when he'd spent more time with Ginny whenever he'd visit.
She walked over to the window, where Ginny was standing, and saw the boy from earlier. He saw them staring at him, Ginny ducked, but Y/N just waved at him then walked out of her sister's room seeing her mom in the hallway and telling her goodnight. Once Y/N got in her room she flopped onto her bed, not caring about finishing her room, and just fell asleep.

Y/N'S POV
Ginny and I's new AP English teacher was going on and on about some reading list, which I could care less about. I think his name was Mr. Mitten or something like that. I was cut off from my thoughts by Ginny handing me a paper. I followed her to the back of the class and sat at the desk behind her.
"Welcome back, AP English. Hiding in the back there, you will find our newest students, Virginia and Y/N Miller. I trust you'll make them feel welcome."
His voice is kinda' annoying.
"It's Ginny." Ginny corrected.
He kept talking, but I only listened to bits of it.
"There are 16 books in this syllabus, 14 of them are written by men, 15 of them are written by white people, and I'll guess the one black author will crop up forBlack History Month. Am I right?" Ginny spoke up.
"Excuse me?"
I could tell he was very pissed.
"I'm very serious about my education, Mr. Gitten." She continues, "I'm worried I might internalize an ideology that the main viewpoint, the viewpoint worth studying in class, the viewpoint of the greats, is only that of the white male, thus eradicating my voice as immaterial. And finally I'm worried I won't be stimulated intellectually."
"Also, we have read The Crucible and I'm confident we can both take the quiz today. One more thing, my sister prefers to be called 'Ginny'. It's kinda' disrespectful that you ignore her, even though she told you many times to call her Ginny." I chime in, pissing him off more.

This dumbass class was finally over. Once the class was over I shot up and packed my things up to head out of class. While heading out I bumped into someone.
"Shit, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention." I apologized to them.
"It's not your fault, I was walking slow. Are you new?" They reply.
"Yeah, I'm Y/N Miller, I'm a sophomore." I introduced myself.
"Artemis O'connor and I'm a sophomore as well. I think my group would like you. Also, would you like to sit with us at lunch?"
"Sure!"
I thought about Ginny for a second, but then I saw her walking with a girl from our English class. It's good that she's making friends already.
I didn't get lunch because I figured it would be nasty. All school lunch is nasty.
"Guys, this is Y/N she's new and in our grade. Y/N, these are my brother's, Apollo and Ares. We're triplets, and, yes I know we don't look exactly the same because I'm clearly better looking than these two idiots." Artemis said as we both sat down, also pointing to who is who.
"So, Artemis, Apollo, and Ares?"
"Our parents are into the whole greek mythology shit." Apollo says.
"And they just had to name me after the god of war!" Ares complains.
"Well, my mom named my siblings after the places they were born." I laughed.
"So, you not gonna introduce us?" One of the girls at the table questions.
"I'm Galene, but call me 'Lene." The other girl spoke up.
"Letty, as in the baddest bitch from 'Fast and Furious'." The first girl let out.
"I'm Jackson." The last boy said.
I gave them a kind smile and said, "Nice meeting you all."
"Where'd you move from?"
"Texas." I responded.
"Texas? I heard it sucks." Jackson spoke.
"Yeah, it was a bit racist. I was lucky enough to not be hate crimed." I laugh, Letty laughed as well.
"Girl, you ain't gotta' worry about that here. If someone does something like that to you here, I got you." Letty said.
I smiled at her and said, "Thanks, girl."
"You mentioned siblings, do any of them go here?" Lene asked.
"Yeah, I have a twin sister named Ginny, but we don't look alike." I explain.
"Where's she at?"
"She was with some girl from one of my classes. After that I don't really know where she went."
I don't even see her in here. I wonder where she could be.

"Hey, mom! Where's Gin?!" I exclaim while walking into her room.
"Out here bein' a dummy on a motorcycle." I heard her saying from the balcony, so I walked out there.
"Didn't know she could ride a motorcycle." I mumble.
Mom walked off, but I stayed to watch Ginny. She got off the motorcycle and kissed Marcus.
"Damn, Gin. What're you doin'?" I whispered to myself, then walked to my room.
Moments later, I heard mom and Ginny yelling at each other then doors slamming. I wish they wouldn't fight so much. Ginny acts like she hates mom so much, but mom is trying. I finished up my homework then took a shower and went to bed.
I wonder what tomorrow has in store for me.
