Y/N's POV

Thanksgiving. A made up holiday used to mask and glorify a mass genocide of indigenous people by white Europeans. Traditionally Thanksgiving is to give thanks for what you have, being with your family, and to eat turkey. For me Thanksgiving is all about the food, except the turkey. Considering how the last few weeks have gone, Thanksgiving probably isn't going be the best.

I'm spending Thanksgiving at Dad's place because I couldn't be bothered to go with Mom to Paul's parent's house. Apollo invited me to spend the day with his family, but Gram, Pop, and Auntie Rayna are coming over to Dad's, so I wanted to see them. I helped Dad cook some of the food and wait for our guests to arrive. Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Ginny and I went to answer the door.

"Oh ho, my Virginia baby!" Gram engulfed Ginny into a tight hug.

"Oh, Good Lord, you are choking that girl." Pop joked as he sat a pot on the table by the door.

"My dear, Y/n." She embraced me into an even tighter hug followed by a forehead kiss.

"You know your jeans have holes in 'em, baby?" Pop cracked another joke after releasing Ginny from his arms and followed by him securing me in a tight hug.
