It's been a week since Ginny and I's birthday and a week since I've spoken to Marcus. I've seen him around, but I haven't spoken to him and he's been ignoring my text messages. I've finally taken the hint that he doesn't want me, which I could care less about. I need to focus in things like school and my sports. ( forgot to add that y/n is on the volleyball and basketball team ) Marcus just adds stress on top of that and i can't, and won't, deal with that.

I was walking out the house to leave for school  when I saw Marcus leaving his.

"Hey! Marcus, can we talk really quick?" I ran over to him.

"Yeah, um, what's up?" He sounded very annoyed.

"You've been ignoring me. You said you wanted yo work on things with us, but you ignoring me isn't gonna help that. I just wanna tell you that I can't do this with you anymore."

"Okay, I'm sorry for ignoring you, but I really do wanna try us again." He seemed upset about what I said.

"Marcus. I seriously don't understand what more you think is gonna happen between us. You literally act like you don't want me. I have bigger things to focus on rather than your toxic ass."

"Toxic? I'm toxic?" He questioned.

"Yes. You're toxic. I can't handle it anymore." I sighed.

"Am I toxic or are you far up Apollo O'Conner's ass? You think I didn't know?"

"What are you talking about?" I was genuinely confused.

"I see you and him together all the time. Why are you two always together?"

yeah he does sound insecure.

"We're friends and we work together. What's your problem with him?" I answered him.

"I don't have a problem with him!" He yells.

"First of all don't yell at me. I asked a simple question. I'm done with you Marcus and I'm leaving it at that." I stormed off making my way to school then I saw my sister and Max watching us behind a tree.

"Hey, Y/N!" Max greets me, walking my way with Ginny.

"How much of that did y'all hear?" I asked them.

"Not much, right? Max?" Ginny answered and Max nodded in agreement.

"Let's just get to school." I started walking with them behind me.

"Don't worry, Y/N. My brother is a jerk. Sorry about him." Max swings her arm around me.

"It's okay. I ended things with him."

When we arrived at school I went to find my friends. I walked with them to my first class. The class went by fast and so did the others, but now it was time for my last and favorite class, English. I walked into the classroom and sat at my normal seat.

"Y/N, what extracurriculars have you done?" Hunter asked me.

"Um, back in texas I did soccer, basketball, volleyball, Student Government, and I was a manager for the football team. Why?" I answered.

"Because I haven't done any and they were talking about stuff for college." Ginny answered for him.

"Oh, what colleges do you guys wanna apply to?" I asked.

"I haven't thought about it yet. What about you?"

"I was thinking a hbcu. Maybe BCU, FAMU, or Grambling." I answered.

"Y/N, those are party colleges. I wouldn't go." Ginny complained.

"Not like they'll let you in. You have no rhythm."
