Y/N'S POV

Marcus and I have been hanging out a lot in last few weeks. Well, a little more than hanging out. We've been kissing and touching, we even kissed a couple times in the hallways at school, and sneaking in and out of each other's rooms. He's even been hanging out with my friends at lunch and after school for band practices. I don't really know what we are, but I like it.

Ginny's been an awful bitch. She's always at work, with her friends, or with Hunter, but when she is at home she's always snappy towards me and mom. She's changed a lot and I hate it. I hate who she's become.

Band practice has been pretty good, we're still working on a name though.

"What about "Gods Among us"?" Apollo suggested.

"But Y/N isn't named after a god."

"My stage name could be Aphrodite or maybe Athena?"

"Eh, I guess it works out."

"Well, let's get to work!"

We started rehearsing one of our songs, which Ares wrote.

(For the sake of the book, let's pretend Ares wrote Lie to Me by 5sos ft. Julia Michaels.)

"I saw you looking brand new overnight..." Ares began to sing.

All of the cords came easily to me. Then my part came up.

"It's 3 AM and the moonlight's testing me, I know that you've been holding on to someone else, and now I can't sleep...."

With the back-up vocals from Apollo and Artemis, we all harmonized perfectly. When the song was finally over everyone else clapped.

"You guys are most def' winning." Jackson said.

"Well, Marcus and I should get going." I put my guitar in its case and picked it up.

Everyone said a mixture of "bye", "see ya", and "see you tomorrow", which we returned.

Ginny wasn't home, Mom and Austin were in their rooms, so it was easy for me to sneak Marcus upstairs. Once we made it to my room I closed the door and locked it then sat my guitar in it's usual spot, the corner where all of my instruments go.

"You should play for me." Marcus picked up my ukulele.

"Now?" I ask.

He nodded and I grabbed it from him, sat on my bed, and started playing the tune of Coffee Breath.

"Ba ba dum, ba ba dum badumba, da ba bum, ba ba dum..."

He watched me sing and my favorite part came up, which I would alter to fit the description of him.

"You've got those big brown eyes, drive me crazy, make me fantasize, 'bout you baby...."

I finished the song then he kissed me and I kissed back.
