Trudging down the forest, i could here crackling noises the further and further i went. It was getting seemingly harder to see and my eyes started stinging. Shoot, Something isn't right. Orange flames dances around the trees, making it much harder to find a way out. Well this won't end well. Noises of fire burning became louder and louder almost like i was right next to it...because i was. I look over my shoulder to meet a raging fire, worsening by the second, rising higher and higher by with every step i took. Delayed reactions made me unaware of what was happening in front of my eyes until i snapped out of my trance and stubbled backwards, falling over. So this is how i go out huh? At least i wasn't confronted by anything else. Breathing heavily, i tried to look for a way out of the blazing bark surrounding me, blocking light everywhere i looked. Miraculously, i noticed a spot of light that hadn't been touched by this horrible demise. I ran for it. Speeding up, i increased my breathing, as my shoes hit the ground with constant thuds of promise and delight. This is what I was mean to do. Squinting my eyes, i sped up even quicker, dedication in my eyes like a lion after prey, being persistent with every moment it tried to capture. Good thing my ancestors were great at running. Memories flooded my mind with all the times i ran over fields, and on tracks that would go on for over a mile craving the speed and dedication i once had. Light was getting predominately closer to my heart, comfort could never felt better. But that would soon end.
