Hela was waiting for her brothers. Today, she was going to take them to Midgard.

She's been there a couple of times before. The last time, she was there to stop the Frost giants, that was a few years before Odin's own banishment.

Midgardians weren't very strong. They were glad if they could pick each other up. They didn't live very long either, an Asgardian's life was a hundred times longer than a life of a Midgardian.

But despite all that, she couldn't say that she didn't like the people. They were always very kind and whenever an Asgardian visited them, they treated them like a god.

Finally, she saw the boys. Loki, in his usual green, black and silver, reminded her of herself. He was rather quiet, and instead of sparring, he diligently studied anything he could, from magic to diplomacy, he almost knew more than she did.

Thor, on the other hand, was absolutely Odin's.

He was dressed in gold and red, his long blond hair waving in the soft wind. In his right hand, he held Mjolnir. It wasn't a long time ago since he first picked it up, but ever since, he's been carrying it everywhere.

At any chance he had, he threw it to the air as hard as he could, and then he let it come back to his hand. Though he stopped doing it in front of Hela after she'd almost threatened him that if he ever did it again near her, she'd break the hammer to thousand pieces.

But she loved them both the same.

They finally made it to her, just in time. They quickly went through formal necessities, and then they ordered Heimdall to open the Bifrost.

Their feet took off from the golden floor, as they were flying in the colorful tunnel of light.

After only a few seconds, they were standing on Midgard. The boys excitedly looked around. They landed on a cliff, near a village. It was the same village that she visited years ago.

It didn't take long for Midgardians to show up. They surrounded them, everyone wanted to take a look at the Asgardians. Suddenly, they all stepped aside as they made way for an older man, probably an elder of some kind.

"Welcome, Asgardians, to our humble village." He threw himself to the muddy ground and the siblings were actually a bit worried about his knees. "Please, let me take you to my house and offer you some food after your long journey." he said. Hela thanked and went beside the elder.

Thor and Loki followed them, they were whispering to each other. They were on the verge of laughter. The brothers thought that Hela was exasperating when she said they would treat them as gods, but clearly, every bit of her stories was true.

The house, as the old man called it, was far away from any house that the siblings knew. It was more like a cottage, and honestly, it looked as though it was going to fall on them.

Inside, there was a big table made from a massive piece of wood. Hela and her brothers were sat at it, and they were given the best that the village could offer.

They ate, they drank (though Hela fortunately took any alcohol from them) and they told stories for the next hour or so.

Then, Hela let the boys out. The only rule they had was not to leave the village. She was not worried about them - both of them could best ten Midgardians easily.

But that wasn't something that might happen, if someone were to attack them, they would have to face the other villagers. After all, the Asgardians were their gods, and to attack them would make the gods furious. And no mortal wants their gods to be furious.

The boys ran out of the cottage. Hela stayed with the elders and told them stories of Asgard. They listened to every word, remembering every little detail so that they could later-on write it all down and then tell the stories to their children who would pass it to their children and so on.

After she told them everything she could think of, she decided it would be best to find her brothers.

Firstly, she found Loki. He was standing in the center of a circle made out of the villagers. They watched him in awe as he cast spells and illusions.

For a few moments, he looked exactly like a Midgardian woman standing right in front of him. Then, he changed back to his normal self. Then, another Loki appeared out of nowhere.

He enjoyed the attention that he was given. He looked past the Midgardians and saw his sister, so he decided to end his act. He asked the villagers to touch him, but their hands went through both figures, which disappeared after a moment.

Then, Hela recognised Loki's laughter. But it wasn't Loki who was laughing, it was some Midgardian man, unless- of course.

The man suddenly changed into a laughing black-haired boy. The villagers were absolutely amazed by it.

Hela only chuckled, she was used to his tricks. He went straight to her.

"Do you know where Thor is?" She asked him.

"Yes, I saw him over there. Well, not really him, but I saw a rather unusual number of lightnings hitting the ground at that place." He answered.

So they went towards where Loki thought his brother could be. And really, one could see it from afar.

At the moment, Thor was picking up a bench with five Midgardian children sitting on it. Just as with Loki, everyone was staring at him in utter awe, some people  were cheering, some people were clapping.

Hela cleared her throat and made her presence known. Thor quickly turned around and nearly dropped the Midgardians. Fortunately, he didn't lose his balance and the children made it safely back to the ground.

"We will be leaving in a few moments, Thor. Say your goodbyes." Hela suggested.

Before they went back home, Hela gave the village a few gifts. Firstly, a sword that she herself conjured, no doubt one of the sharpest on Midgard.

Then, she gave them a few protection charms from Frigga. Bury them at the corners of the village, and they will protect it from any natural dangers, from earthquakes to hungry wolves.

Finally, she gave them a strong healing potion. For Asgardian sicknesses, one would need the whole vial, but it will last the Midgardian village for years. _________________________________
