When I woke up Ivy was entrapped in some sort of cocoon, plants beginning to grow from it. I slowly get up, expecting my body to be in pain, but it wasn't. Even the cuts I had seemed to have disappeared, my hands however were filled with cuts, but instead of showing blood, the cuts had a green color mixed with the crimson red.
I go closer to Ivy, luckily she seemed to be fine, well alive.

I stumble outside, still a bit delirious from what just happened. I walk for a while, too dizzy to know exactly where I'm going.

"Where you heading pretty lady?", a gruff voice says.

I don't respond and keep walking.

"Hey I'm talking to you!", he says pulling me into an alleyway.

"Let go of me!", I scream trying to pull away from his grip.

He chuckles darkly, pushing me against the wall, his hands groping my body. When he starts kissing my neck I try to push his face away. That's when he backs away, screaming as he holds his face. Before I run there's a moment where I see his face it looked like it was melted where I had touched him, a green substance starting to cover his face.
I run, tears covering my face. I try asking people for help but they all ignore me until one person tells me of a place I can go. I stumble into the building though it was empty. I go to a white door and begin banging on it.

"I'm sorry, the clinic is closed for today. Come back tomorrow.", a woman's voice says from the other side.

"Please, you have to help me! I- just- I think I just killed someone. Please help!", I stammer.

I don't know how long I stood there for but eventually, she opened the door.

"Rose?!", the woman says, her face familiar not just by the fact that it looked just like Barbara's and Jim's in their shocked expression, but as if I knew them.

"You know me?", I ask.

She looks at me for a moment before pulling me into a hug, I make sure not to touch her.
She then leads me inside and sits me down, as she does so she notices my hand.

"What happened to your hand?!" She's about to grab my hand but I pull it away.

"Don't! I don't know what happened, but I touch this man, and he just... I killed him. I didn't mean to but he just- He was going to..."

The woman places her hand on my shoulder.

"It's okay, Rose. I'm going to help you any way I can."

"Can I have a glass of water, then?", I chuckle.

The woman turns around and then comes back with a glass of water. I drink it in one gulp.

"If I may ask, how do you know me?", I ask setting my glass down.

"You don't remember me?", she asks, her face sad.

"I don't much of anything, only my sister Alex, my friend Queenie and bits of my childhood. I have no idea what caused my amnesia, but the way they made it sound, I was almost dead."

"Well, I'm Lee, you and I met in college. You were one of the smartest students there. You introduced me to Jim, you kinda were the reason we got together."

"Jim Gordon? I knew him?"

"Wow you really don't remember much.", Lee chuckles.

"I want to change that. Do you think you can help me?"

"Of course."

After only a few days I already remembered much more than I had with Alex. I now remembered everything from my college years, most of my memories of Lee, as well as Jim and Barbara. Sadly a lot of memories that aren't too pleasant, come back to me in my dreams. Memories of a time I had issues with my body and turned to substances. I would talk to Lee about them, but I'm scared she won't look at me the same.
Hell when she first saw me smoking a cigarette, it seemed to catch her in surprise. She eventually got used to it, but I feel the small judgment in the glances she gives me. Of course, she'd never voice those judgments since she can't say much with her constant drinking.

It's not like our friendship is suffering though. We both have our vices, but we have each other's backs. Especially being in the Narrows.
Together we help out people with Lee's clinic. We also help in this nightclub called Cherry's, they hold fights there and we mend the fighters in exchange for money to keep the clinic afloat. Now I didn't make this deal, Lee had already done all this before I came, but I wasn't just going to stay and be useless again.
I've come to somewhat enjoy my new life here with Lee.

Tonight was a normal night, the both of us working in the club. I was coming back in from a smoke break when I see Lee talking to some guy as she grabbed our equipment from the side of the ring, clearly annoyed.

"Hey, Lee, you ready to go?", I ask her as I reach her, putting my arm over her shoulder.

"Rose?"

I look towards the man, instantly I realize he was the same man that was the frozen centerpiece for Oswald's club.

"Hey, you're that frozen guy from Oswald's nightclub.", I point out.

His mouth is agape, and his eyes wide, just like before, I was looked at as if I were some ghost. His eyes dart all over me, almost as if he's checking if I'm real.
Almost immediately he starts reaching out to grab my face, but I quickly jump back and put my hands forward to make some space between us.

"Woah, uh, personal space, buddy. I don't even know you."

Just as my words left my mouth I could see his face turn from one of unbelief and shock to one of pain and anguish.

"Come on, Rose.", Lee says, tugging my arm forward.

"See you around, stranger.", I wave at the man before following Lee.

As we walk away I decide to ask Lee about the man.

"So, what did that guy want with you anyway?"

"Just to waste my time. Don't worry about him, okay?", she answers, her words reminded me a lot of Alex's.
