Tonight was Lee's engagement party. Though thankfully I was had the rest of the day able to spend with Edward. I still can't believe that I am now engaged to him. I'm still thinking I'll just wake up one day and see none of this was real. 
Though sadly I was going to spend the night without him, I will have Alex to accompany me, maybe. She did say she would think about it. She wasn't such a big fan of Mario, I wish I knew why but she won't tell me. I know I'll still have Lee, but she'll probably be very busy with all the other guest.

Still I kiss Edward goodbye and go get ready, again with the help of Queenie, and headed to the party by myself. I had to rush over since I ended up running late. I couldn't find my car keys, and ended up using my spare one. There was a lot of cameras and reporters there. When I got there I barely able to greet Lee before it was time for Mario to give his speech.  

"My father and I haven't always seen eye to eye. But I think, Dad, you'll agree that, marrying Lee is the best decision I've ever made."

"Without a doubt."

Everyone laughed.

"And Lee. You're a doctor, a member of the city's police department. You're funny, compassionate and brilliant. Despite insisting all dogs are boys and all cats are girls."

People laugh again.

"It's hopeless, I've tried to correct her.", he tells the people.

He turns back to Lee.

"I've loved you since the moment I saw you."

He went to Lee and kissed her. We all applauded. 

It takes a while until I can finally talk to Lee since people would keep going up to her. 

"You look beautiful, Lee."

"Thank you, Rose. I'm so glad you were able to come."

"And let you get eaten by all the wolves tonight? I don't think so."

We share a laugh and then she notices my ring. 

"Oh my god. Where did you get that?"

I grab my finger, covering the ring.

"Not long ago, actually. We can talk to about tomorrow. But tonight is all about you, not me."

We continued talking for a while when Alex came up to us. I guess she decided to come after all. She was also wearing a dress for, what I believe, the first time. Or at least for as long as I've known her. 

"Sorry I'm late. Had some things left to take care of."

"It's alright, I'm glad you were able to make it. Lee, I'm sure you can recall my sister, Alex."

"Yes, I can. It's nice to being able to meet you, properly this time."

"Same here. Congratulations by the way. I'm sure you and Mario will be very happy together. I never imagined he'd end up with someone like you. I mean that in a good way."

"You know Mario?"

"Briefly. I used to work for Falcone. But right now I'm trying to step back from all that, for Rose."

"She's been helping me out alot. I'm so grateful for her."

"I don't mean to be rude, but would mind if me and my sister talk in private?"

"Oh, of course. I have other guest to greet anyways."

She turns to me.

"Promise you'll come see me before you leave?"
