For a huge part of my life I have been a fan of the elder scrolls, and lately Lorkhan has been a point of fascination for me. For being such a minor god his influence on Mundus is enormous. It would not exist without him after all. And seeing him not appear on his throne in Sovngarde has indeed confused a lot of players. Is he gone? Is he the player? Or can't we just see him since we are still alive when entering?
I decided to scour the internet and in game lore books for any material to come up with a theory of my own.....I had no idea what I was getting into. For learning anything about Lorkhan, even the smallest detail, is more difficult than I imagined. For he ties into the creation myth's, all of them. So I had to dive into almost every single pantheon for every religion across Tamriel and try to draw parallels between them. Which was near impossible for they constantly contradict each other, written with bias in mind to support the races that wrote them. So which is true? Which is false? The games seems to support multiple myths so this was indeed a tricky mystery.
So I decided to simplify it for myself by focusing in on 3 main goals.
1. Just focus in on Lorkhan in every pantheon, extending to other gods that plays a key role in his parts.
2. Try and draw parallels between the pantheons, what do they share? Whats similar?
3. Find out if he likes sweet rolls. Trust me its very crucial that we found out.
