She stared at the phone, pressed against her palm before facing him again.

Marianna Smith 💕 Ew no and i'm not even in town Aren't you gaming rn btw?
Owen Joyner smiled a little reading through the conversation with his now almost bestfriend. Just like Marianna only told Delilah and Carolynn, he only told Alex and Charlie what was going on (or well, who he talked to.) Jeremy had heard it from Carolynn but promised not to spill the beans if it ever were to come up. He trusted him in that, didn't worry about it much.
Me: Okay yeah i am 😂 But what do you mean you're not in town? Where are you?
Marianna Wait, i'll show you
"Welcome to a brand new room .. or garden actually ... a brand new garden tour!"
Marianna was sitting on a wooden bench outside as an incredible garden was surrounding her. She had asked her mother prior to coming here, if she could leave the room for a second. It all becoming too much for her.
"Today, i'll take you with me for a stroll around all the plants and flowers." She spoke with an accent. As she was filming herself and talking to her phone, her sister had placed herself on a bench across from the one she was previously sitting on, an amused grin taking over her features. It took her older sister a while before she saw her, almost giving her a heartattack (Marianna's words, not hers) but called out as soon as she saw her. "What do you want?"
"A normal sister for starters." 15 year old Lylia Smith called back. The oldest Smith girl rolled her eyes and sent the "vlog" to the person it was meant for. "It's november Mar, why are you outside?" She sighed. "Couldn't take it anymore." Lylia nodded, understanding where she was coming from. "Ross is on his way with uncle Josh." Ross was Lylia's twin and Marianna younger brother. "Okay." They fell silent. "Let's go inside then." The two sisters walked back into the hospital together.

This was the first thing Owen heard as he opened the video the girl had sent. He laughed and rolled his eyes as he heard her sister call her out, knowing the Smith family quite well at this point (Marianna had told him a lot about the 5 of them.) The Joyner boy put away his phone away again, debating between gaming or homework. Being the responisble guy he is (cough cough who are we kidding? cough cough), he started on his biology work. Thinking nothing of the fact that his volume was quite high when he played the video on his phone.
Because what he didn't realise, is that 15 minutes prior, Elena Joyner had come home and was currenty watching tv in her room.
She had heard the video (and both Lylia and Marianna's voices) too. Which left a very confused Elena, wondering why her bestfriends voice was heard from her brothers room.
What was going on?

A very short chapter for you all because i'm currently experiencing somewhat of a ✨writersblock✨ (i don't really like this chapter either but oh well) Oh and school is kicking ass atm soo
