ᴛʜᴇ ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ᴅᴀʏ ᴏꜰ ᴄʜʀɪꜱᴛᴍᴀꜱ

Marianna Smith was putting on her necklace with effort. The stupid thing didn't want to stay on her neck which made the task a lot harder than it needed to be.

She was late for the Joyner christmas get together (or party, who was she kidding) because she kept struggling with everything and nothing today. Off to a great start!

She flatted down her skirt and adjusted her top before making it down the stairs. "Mom i'm off to the Joyners!" She called as she put on her shoes and grabbed her bag.

"Okay! Have fun sweetheart!" Mrs Smith called back, receiving a quick thank you from her daughter as she made her way out the door.

The cold wind hit her face as she started walking to her friends' house. Slighty shivering she rang the doorbell as James opened the door. "Hey Marianna come in." She nodded at him as a thank you and stepped into the hallway.

Christmas music was heard from the livingroom as she was taking off her shoes and jacket. Laughter revealed the joy from the people in the space as Marianna opened the door.

All the heads turned to the door as the girl took place on a free chair.

"Stand up! Show us your outfit!" Sophia exclaimed.

Marianna laughed as she stood up again and did a little twirl to show what she was wearing. Her skirt flowing around her slightly as she did so.

"You look so pretty!" Julie Molina, Luke's (almost) girlfriend said smiling. She had been kind off shy when they first met her, but she ended up being an incredible person to be around and a perfect match for Luke Patterson.

"Aw thank you so much! You look gorgeous Jules!" Julie laughed and thanked her as Luke put an arm around her. "I know she does." He answered.

Eyerolls and fake puking sounds in return. "Simp." One of the girls mubbled, Luke stuck his tongue out in return which made the whole table laugh.

"Hey, what do you want to drink?" Someone next to her asked. The one and only Owen Joyner.

"Hey yeah sure. A coke is fine." He nodded and walked away, coming back after a few minutes.

"M'lady." He said smirking.

Marianna rolled her eyes while smiling. "Thanks Joyner."

He went to sit down again when Reggie turned up the music to probably the loudest volume. Mariah Careys "all i want for christmas is you" blasted through the speakers. The friends trying to see who could sing the loudest (or above the music even.) Having the time of their life.

As the night came to an end, the music started to quiet down, the mood becoming way more relaxed. All of them were either slighty drunk or on the edge of wasted. There was no in between. A slowdance song started to play as the girls walked up to the hallway to get their shoes. When they walked back, Owen and Charlie were slowdancing with eachother, giggling like little girls. "Whoo! Team Chowen!!" Marianna called as Elena rolled her eyes.
