"I just can't believe it's the end of the year already." Elena Joyner was applying red lipstick as she watched her friend braid her hair through the reflection of her mirror.
"Yeah it's weird honestly." Marianna Smith tied the braid up and brushed through her hair with one hand. "So much has happened, can't believe it's almost over."
"Exactly, it's kinda sad.. But also, don't we look dashing." The younger girl stood up frol her chair and started posing in front of her mirror, trying to make Marianna laugh.
It worked.
Soon enough, the other girl joined in on the fun. Adding music to make it seem like a "real fashionshow."
"Damn, i feel 11 again." Marianna said laughing as she sat on her friends bed.
"Y-yeah. Where did we get all that energy from though. Jesus. I can't even breath properly anymore." Elena was fully out of breath.
"Girl, you're 16, not 80."
She got an eyeroll followed by a glare in return.
"Let's just go alright? We don't wanna be late."
"So you can breath normal again?"
"Oh fuck off Marianna."
20:15 am
Music was in full swing as the two girls arrived at their friends party. It had been a while since it was only and all of the girls, so to say they were excited for tonight was an understatement.
They all hugged eachother upon arrival and started to drink and dance the night away as they all say.
(Or well, most of them slowed down on the booze due to age but you can't stop everyone..)
As the night progressed, the music switched and the girls started to slow down for a few minutes, 12 o'clock fast approaching.
Marianna looked at the clock
22:15 am
Less than two hours to go.
Her phone had been charging since he didn't want an empty battery when the clock hit midnight. She hadn't looked at it in a while, so she decided to check if she had missed anything, knowing she probably hadn't.
However, the girls eyes widened as she opened her phone.
