Shocked you rip your eyes open.
"Because of me?"

Kyun nods and pulls out his phone. "The message? From Mila? Didn't you get it?"

He points at your phone in your hand. Gulping you dig your nails into your phone case. What can you say? That you didn't look at your phone cause you were so distracted in dwelling on the past? The past with him?

"Um...", you're still so thrown off guard that you're barely able to clear your thoughts.

Suddenly Kyun laughs and this laugh... this beautiful laugh almost kills you.

"Here!", he says and holds his phone in front of you. Confused you take a step closer and look at the display.

We need your help with a few things. The flowers and the cupcakes need to get picked up. Arrange yourself with y/n so you don't have to do this together. Thank you, love you!

Oh. Oh, shit, Mila needs your help two days before her wedding and you have no better thing to do than sitting here crying.
Immediately you nod.

"Okay!", you say quickly. "Do you want me to pick up the cupcakes and you take care of the flowers?"

"We could do that", he nods and smirks shyly. "Or we could do it together...?"

Your jaw drops. He can't be serious.

"A-are you sure?", you ask confused, have no idea where his change of mind suddenly comes from. Again he nods and shrugs.

"It's for our best friends", he says in a low voice. "...isn't it?"

You can't deny that the silence between the both of you is kind of awkward. You have no idea what to say to him, no idea how to handle him. But you decide that you better leave your past out of your conversation and stick to senseless small talk. So you avoid hurting yourself or make him angry again at least.
Gentlemen-like he opens the door to the patisserie and you smile confused at him as you enter.

"Hey Summer!", he says friendly to the baker and she lifts her head with a beaming smile. "Changkyun! Hey. So good to see you!"

Quickly she walks around the counter and hugs him tightly. You watch them smiling until you see his hands around her waist and you feel this ache in your chest again... and something more you don't like at all: jealousy.

You know Summer. Just like you know everyone here in this town.

"Um, Summer!", he says and loosens himself out of her hug. "Do you remember y/n?", he asks and nods over to you.

Summer's head shoots over to you. Wide-eyed, she looks at you top to bottom until she looks back at Kyun.

"She's back..", she says in a low voice and Kyun nods hardly noticeable.

That huge smile returns to her face and suddenly she takes a step towards and hugs you tightly.

"So great to see you're okay!", she whispers and you can't help but smile while you look at Kyun a little helplessly.

She loosens the hug and smiles. "You're still so beautiful..."

You feel yourself blushing like crazy. "Thank you so much..."

"You're welcome!", the tall, brunette girl tucks some loose hair behind your ear. "God... your eyes..."

You're not quite sure how to feel about this. Is she just nice... or is she trying to lay you down?
