'My names Cassie evans, I'm 13 but mentally I'm 18. I have a twin brother called Jacob, we're identical twins actually, as much as I hate to admit it. I've always been the outcast in my family and I always will be, welcome to my life...'

Cassie was talking to her pretend audience inside of her head, she had planned out what she would say in an interview where she had to introduce herself, and that's what she had memorised. "Cassie! Snap out of it!" Her English teacher clapped his hands in front her face when he realised she was staring out of the window instead of following along with his lesson. She looked back over to her teacher when he startled her, "sorry..." she mumbled out, her teacher shook his head then walked off to carry on with the lesson.

Cassie was barely a teenager, she had only just turned 13 along with her brother a month ago. She had brown hair which was naturally curly, like really curly, she also had emerald green eyes to compliment it, along with many, many freckles, she looked like the definition of autumn.

Her brother however, looked exactly like her just in male format, his hair was naturally in a loose perm and he too had green eyes with freckles. The pair had always been known as the 'good looking duo', but they were far from a duo, they hated each other. The pair had never looked their age, if you met them in the streets you would easily think they were about 16 or 17, definitely not 13. Their skin was fairly tanned, but that was probably just because it was the middle of summer.

The English lesson dragged on and on as the teachers voice made her sleepy, her head was about to hit the desk before the bell rang. "Alright guys see you later! Cassie, stay behind for a minute" he shouted over the screeching of metal chair legs on the concrete floor. She sighed and packed up her back which didn't carry much, she watched her classmates leave the room before it was just the two left alone. "What's going on with you? You seem so distracted recently?" Her teacher folded his arms and stood in front of her. Cassie shrugged her shoulders, "nothing. I'm just a little tired today..." she sighed and looked away. Her teacher shook his head, "I'm not just talking about today Cassie, I'm talking about yesterday, and the day before that. You haven't been paying attention in my class for the past couple of days, you're grades are gonna drop..." he huffed.

Emily looked back over to him, "I know, sorry. I'll start paying attention" she sighed. Her teacher shifted his weight to his other foot, "so you admit to not listening during any of my lessons?" He raised his voice a little. Emily shrugged her shoulders, "I guess..." she looked down. "Detention, tonight" he walked back over to his desk. She maybe should've worded that a little better, it came across a bit more sassy then she expected, "okay" she nodded and walked off. Once she was in the corridor which was filled with giddy teenage children, she sighed and walked over to her locker.

The bell finally rang for the last lesson of the day, great, that means she had detention now. She had already text her parents to let them know she would be staying behind but she was pretty sure the school had already phone home too, of course she didn't get an answer from either parent but she expected nothing less. She strolled down the corridor with her head hung low as she reached the library door, her mind wandered when she saw the losers sat around the tables who were also in detention. She was signalled over to a chair so she nodded and walked to it before taking a seat and taking her sketch book out.

Cassie had a huge talent when it came to drawing and painting, she was really gifted. She had already filled 5 sketch books up with her drawings and her room was full of canvases with multiple styles of art on them. She pulled out a sharp pencil and began doodling, at first she started drawing a girl but then she turned it into an angel, and then into the devil, then the words started appearing on her page. If anyone saw what she was doing they would be extremely confused, surprisingly the detention flew by as she spent the whole hour drawing. She looked down at her final art work and she actually kind of liked it, free drawing was her favourite, she could let her mind lead her hand without any limits. She closed her sketch book and zipped up her bag with everything stuffed inside of it, although there wasn't much in it.

When she got out of the school grounds she saw a group of boys stood by the school sign so she looked down as she walked past them. "Hey excuse me? You dropped this..." one of the boys stopped her just as she walked past them. She held her breath and turned around to face them, they all looked around 20. The man who had spoken held out a crumpled piece of paper, wait, did she drop it? When did she drop it? Her bags zipped up...

"Oh uh, thank you..." she spoke hesitantly and walked towards him, her heart was going at around 200mph. The men all had devilish smiles plastered across their faces, she accepted the ball of paper and nodded. Nothing felt suspicious so she smiled weakly and turned back around to walk out of the small semi circle the men had formed. She let out the breath she was holding as she walked away, curiously, she unraveled the piece of paper but it was blank, there was nothing on it. She shrugged her shoulders, since it was possible that it was laying in the bottom of her bag and it could've just fallen out, and put it back in her bag because she didn't like littering.

She was walking on the sidewalk following her usual path home, when a few cars pulled up along the side of the road abruptly, they just looked like regular cars so she kept walking even though she felt a little uneasy. As she kept walking she saw a woman and a man with black police vests on stood about 10 metres away from her, they were blocking her path so she stopped still and turned around to see another pair, consisting of a man and a woman, standing with the same stance blocking her path behind her. Okay Cassie, breath, they're not here for you, just keep walking, don't cry, don't cry, do not cry...But no matter what she told herself and no matter how hard she tried to stop her fear from erupting, she was still afraid. Luckily she didn't cry but she stood still.

"Chicago PD, stop right there" a brown haired officer walked closer to her, he was followed by a blonde haired officer, both of them looked pissed, Cassie was confused and scared to say the least. She obeyed his orders and stood still while exchanging glances to the surrounding officers, "put your hands in the air" the woman ordered to her. Cassie held her breath but raised her hands in fear, the blonde haired officer started patting her down but stopped at her pocket, "what's this?" She pulled out a rolled up bag of white powder. Cassie's eyes widened, "I don't know, I-I've never seen that before" she trembled. The blonde haired woman raised her eyebrows as did the brown haired man, "well you better hope it's sugar, put your hands behind your back" she sighed and handed the bag over to what looked like her partner.

Cassie done as she said out of pure fear but she was telling the truth, she had never seen it before in her life. Once she had hand cuffs on, the woman grabbed her arm gently and guided her to their truck. Cassie scrambled into the back of the black truck and sat down, she didn't even have a seat belt on, did she just get arrested? Oh my god, what the hell just happened? Is all she could think. She saw that the rest of the police officers had got back into their cars as the cars sped off, the car journey was silent, only the hum of the engine could be heard. It was pretty awkward and she felt like jumping out of the window.
