A Few Hours After The End Of Chapter 11*

Ren Todoroki's POV*(Age: 23)

I met with Hawks in secret.

Hawks said, "That was different from what we had discussed.".

I asked, "Is that so?".

He held a feather blade or whatever to my neck and said, "I was hoping we'd get along a little better than this, Neve.".

I said, "Oh? I thought you only had weak feathers left?".

Hawks said, "Well, I can't exactly meet with a liar unarmed. The plan was for tomorrow, at the factory on the coast. Not in the middle of the goddamn city. Not to mention that Nomu. It was on a completely different level from the ones we've seen so far. I'd prefer you tell me these things in advance.".

I smirked and said, "I changed my mind. Did I forget to mention it would be a test of the Nomu's abilities? My bad. But I wasn't the only one who acted outside of the plan, now was I? You said you'd send some random strong guys, but sending the number one and two heroes doesn't exactly make for a good test. Did that ever occur to you?".

Hawks said, "Well hey, it did some serious damage to the number one hero, not so much on the number two hero, but still you should be happy. I haven't broken my promise. You're the only one who went back on her word.".

I said, "But it's even more unreasonable for you to think that I'd trust the number three hero right off the bat. So this was also a test to see if you were trustworthy. Why did today's little event get resolved with zero casualties? It's hard to believe someone who sympathizes with our cause a person who requested to cooperate with us would act in such a way.". 

Hawks said, "I've gotta keep up appearances on my end. I can't afford to lose the faith that's been placed on me as a hero. The more confidence everyone has in me, the more valuable the information I'll receive. And that information is beneficial for you all. You should really be looking at the big picture here...".

He walked past me pulling his feather blade away and continued, "...Everything I do, I do for the League, Neve.".

I said, "Well... I still won't let you meet the boss for the time being, but... I'll contact you again, Hawks.".

He left and I said, "What a douche.".

Two Days Later*

Yuki Todoroki's POV*(Age: 23)

Hawks and I were walking Dad out of the hospital.

Thanks to Recovery Girl and surgery, Dad's eye was saved and he got a wicked cool scar.

Hawks said, "I'm glad your left eye made it out ok. But I'm really sorry about everything that happened. It's all my fault.".

I said, "Quit being a kiss-ass.".

Dad said, "She's right, quit acting noble.".

I said, "He was being a kiss-ass but whatever.".

Dad said, "My injuries are my own responsibility.".

Hawks said, "Hey that's a good one... Can I use that one next time I get injured?".

I said, "Fuck you, I call dibs.".

Dad said, "You had no intention actually apologizing, did you, Hawks? But more importantly... That Nomu came charging in aiming directly for us.".

I said, "And on the same day we arrived, seems a little too coincidental.".
