It was another rainy day in Fork, Washington. Raindrops were dripping off of the roof and running down my window. A slow rumble of thunder sounded through the air. I was woken up by a ding on my phone, telling me that I received a text message. I groaned and rolled over to reach my phone. I unlocked my phone to see a text from Jasper.

Jas💖

Good Morning, darling.

Lara🧸

Good Morning, Jas.

Jas💖

Would you like to ride to school with me?

Lara🧸

I would love to.

Jas💖

Great! I'll pick you up in an hour.

Lara🧸

See you soon, Jas.

Jas💖

See you soon, darling.

I put my phone back where it was and got up. I prepared for my day, dressing in a green plaid skirt, a white collared shirt, and a black sweater. I paired that with cute booties. I tied my hair back into a ponytail and pulled a few pieces of hair out to frame my face.

I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. I ate a quick breakfast and finished just in time to hear a honk outside. I slung my bag on my shoulder and exited my house.

Jasper stood in front of a silver Volvo, waiting for me. He was wearing black pants and an emerald jumper, slightly matching me. I assumed it was Alice's doing.

Thinking the same as I was, Jasper spoke, "Now I understand why Alice threw this outfit at me this morning."

"She threw it at you?" I laughed

Jasper smirked, "She did indeed." We laughed and I approached the car. Jasper walked to my side and opened the door to let me in.

I curtsied, "Thank you, kind sir."

"You are very welcome, ma'am," Jasper bowed, we laughed again.

He got in on his side and started the car. We began our drive to school.

"I thought this was Edward's car," I said, confused.

"He's not going to school for the rest of the week. He needed some time to get his thirst under control," Jasper explained

"Is he okay?" I asked, mildly concerned

"He's fine. It just turned out that Bella was his bloodsinger," He informed me. I had read about bloodsingers and mates when we learned about the cold ones in school.

I nodded, "I see." The ride fell into a comfortable silence for the majority of the ride.

After a few minutes, Jasper spoke again, "So I was wondering," he trailed off. I looked at him, urging for him to continue. "Would you like to go out with me tonight?"

"Like a date?" I asked

"If you don't mind," He responded

"I would like that," I nodded, smiling. "Where are we going?" I asked.

"I wanted to show you my favorite place," He said, "It's a small place in the woods. I go there to think."

"What time do you want to go?" I inquired
