~Adrien~
It's been a while since Marinette went into surgery. Every now and then Plagg comes to update me. He said she's doing fine for now but I'm still really worried.

I look up and see Plagg and Tikki walking towards me. "H-how is she?" Tikki smiles. "The surgery was a success. She's in post-op (a/n: i think that's what it's called) care right now. She should wake up in a few hours. You can go see her now but she is connected to a few wires so don't be scared." I nod and they lead me to her room.

I walk into the room and my heart drops when I see all the wires she's connected to. "Don't worry Adrien. She's okay." Plagg says as he puts a hand on my shoulder to comfort me. I nod and take a seat next to her.

"Cold blue post-op room 4. Code blue post-op room 4..." The loudspeaker says. The doctors rush into Marinette's room and start performing chest compressions. Plagg pulled me out of the room and tried comforting me. "Charge to 300. Clear!" Tikki says as she shocks Marinette.

"She'll be okay Adrien." Plagg says. I wipe my tears but more stream down my face. My heart is pounding. I can't lose her. Not yet. I still have a few months left with her. She can't be gone. Please don't die on me Mari.

"Charge to 350! Clear!" I run into the room. "Don't die on me Marinette! You promised me you'd be fine!" "Adrien you can't be in here." Plagg says as he tries to pull me out. I squirm out of his grip. "Please don't leave me Mari." I sob. "Charge to 350! Clear!" "Adrien you need to leave the room." Plagg says again. "I can't leave her!" "The doctors need to focus and they can't do that with you yelling in here."

I nod and walk out. I fall to the floor and sob. "She'll be okay kid." Plagg kneels beside me and pulls me into a hug. "I can't lose her." "You're not losing her anytime soon. You still have time."

"Charge the paddles to 400! Clear!" "Her breathing stabilized and her stats are going up." Tikki says as she writes into Marinette's chart. I get up and run into the room. "She's okay?" "She's okay." Tikki says. I smile and sigh of relief. I wipe my tears and take a seat beside Marinette's bed.

After a few minutes pass she wakes up. "Thank god!" I say and pull her into a hug. She smiles and hugs me back. "I told you I'd be fine Agreste." I smile as she wipes my tears away. "Why are you crying? I'm fine." "You scared me. Tikki said you stopped breathing." "I'm sorry." I shake my head. "I'm just glad you're okay." She gives me a soft smile that makes my heart melt. How can someone be this beautiful?

~Marinette~
After a few days pass I'm finally allowed to leave the hospital. "Just take it easy and get lots of rest. Don't forget to take your medication." Tikki says. Adrien writes everything she says down. "Agreste she only gave me 3 instructions. I'm pretty sure we'll remember." "I know I just want to be 100% sure that we don't forget anything." I smile. He's so sweet and caring. I feel really bad about turning him down. Even after rejecting him he's still staying by my side. I'm an idiot. But I had to do it.

"Come back in 3 days for your next chemo treatment." Plagg says. Adrien writes that down too. I giggle and nod my head.

"Adrien I can walk. You didn't need to call your driver." I say as Adrien opens the car door for me. "I know but you heard what Tikki said, you need to take it easy." I roll my eyes and get in the car.

"You missed my street." I say. Adrien looks at me and smiles. "Where are we going?" "Be patient Mari." "Agreste-" "Just wait we're almost there." I nod my head.

"And here we are." He holds out his hand and helps me out of the car. "This is your house. What are we doing here?" "Follow me." He says and walks into his house. "Marinette! It's so good to see you!" Emilie says as she pulls me into a hug. "Easy mom." Adrien says as he loosens her grip on me so she doesn't put pressure on my stitches. "It's so good to see you too Mrs. Agreste." "I've told you to just call me Emilie." I smile and nod.

"So how have you been?" She asks. "Mom can we do small talk later please? I need to show her the surprise." "Oh right! Of course." She says. "Follow me Mari." I nod and follow. "Nothing is going to jump out and scare me right?" He laughs. "Of course not." "You better not be lying." He rolls his eyes and we walk into a room right beside his.

"What's this?" "Your room." "My room? Adrien I have a room. At my house." I say emphasizing the last sentence. "I know but things with your parents aren't good right now so I set up this room for you. You can come here whenever you feel like you need to get away from them." I feel tears form in my eyes. "Wow I- I don't know what to say." "Don't cry! Please don't cry." I giggle as a tear slides down my face. "Thank you Agreste!" I say as I pull him into a tight hug.

"Adrien?" "Yes?" "Why aren't you hugging me back?" He chuckles. "I don't want to hurt you." I roll my eyes. "You won't hurt me." He smiles and gently hugs me. His hugs are so comforting. I don't want to pull away.

"Okay you 2 lovebirds let me talk to Marinette now." Emilie says as she walks in the room. Adrien and I laugh and pull away. "So how has your treatment been going Marinette?" She asks as she gently pulls me to the bed in the room. "It's been good for the most part. My parents haven't been coming to my appointments though. But since Adrien found out he hasn't left my side." She smiles. "I'm sorry about your parents but I'm glad my son has been there for you."

I turn to Adrien and see he has a confused look on his face. "I kind of forgot to mention that your mom knows." "My mom knows? How?" "We ran into each other at the hospital and I told her everything. Whenever I was in the hospital for a couple of days we'd visit each other." "Yeah. Marinette was my little hospital buddy." She says. I giggle.

"You told my mom before you told me?" "Like I said before Agreste, I didn't want you to worry." He nods. I smile and pat the spot on the bed beside me gesturing for him to sit. "So what's next on the list?" He asks as he sits beside me. "What list?" "We're trying to complete my bucket list." "You're bucket list? But you're so young." "She doesn't know?" I hit Adrien's arm. "Know what?" "Nothing. I just thought my bucket list would help take my mind off of everything." She nods. "I'll go get some snacks for you guys." She says as she walks out of the room.

"I thought you told her everything." "That was before I found out about me dying. Don't tell her Agreste." "Don't worry I won't. So back to the list." He says as he pulls it out of his pocket. "How-" "I made a copy." I giggle. "You always carry it around with you?" "We never know when we might need it." I take the paper from his hands and look at it. "Okay so we got the hotel off my list." I put a mark by it. "And my um- first kiss." I mumble as I mark it off.

"Number 3 and 4 check." Adrien says trying to break the awkward tension. "What should we do next?" "There's going to be a carnival next week." "That's perfect!" "But you're supposed to be taking it easy." "I should be good to go by next week Agreste." "If you say so."
