Chapter 58.

"I can't believe they are seriously having this stupid assembly." My friend Tiana ranted to me as we walked towards the gym/auditorium.

"I know, but hey at least I get out of my science class." I grinned.

"I know right.. so upset we have to leave class." Tiana said fakely as we passed by the vice-principal who was waiting at the door.

"Absolutely gutted.." I trailed off, both of us giggling as we entered the gym and found seats towards the back.

Students filed in for the next 5 minutes or so, the noise in the room growing louder and louder.

"Quiet! Quiet everyone!" Principal Harper said.

Everyone slowly became quiet.

All the faculty and staff were there, standing around Principal Harper, spread out to different sections.

My gaze connected to Zayn's where his were already on me, and blushed, both of us looking away.

I then found Lily, who was walking up the steps towards us, plopping down next to me.

"What's wrong?" I whispered, looking at her red watery eyes.

"Tell you later." She whispered.

I nodded, Principal Harper clearing his throat.

"Thank you all for coming here today."

"I am guessing that by now you have all heard about what is going to happen starting next week."

"And judging by your responses and what I've heard, none of you are happy about it."

For the next ten minutes he went on and on about how all the other schools in England wear uniforms, and how the like most important guy in the schoolboard, the super intendant found out and how he's angry and Principal Harper is gonna be fired if he doesn't enforce the uniform.

"Now. I know most of you have sets of the uniform at home, if you are new or have outgrown your uniform we will be having a uniform sale in here for the next few days."

After that it was over and we were free to go to lunch.

Everyone mumbled and grumbled as we all filed out of the room.

"I can't believe we have to start wearing unforms." Tiana grumbled.

I huffed, agreeing with her, "See you later." I said as she went off to her other friends.

"Bye!" She chirped.

"Can we uh go somewhere else for lunch?" Lily asked.

"Um, yeah. Of course." I bit my lip, I was supposed to meet up with Zayn at lunch.

"Where would we go?"

"Let's go sit at the bleachers outside." She suggested.

"It's about to start raining, love." I chuckled as we bought our lunch and made our way towards the field.

"Whatever." I sighed.

We went to the top of the bleachers, watching some boys kick around a football.

"James and I broke up.." She whispered.

"What?!" I gasped.

She nodded, "It was so bad.. So messy."

"What happened?" I asked, sitting closer to her.

"We fought.. like every day. Yesterday was.. we had a huge fight. The worst we've ever had."
