After a couple of wine glasses, everyone relaxed a bit and got more comfortable with each other. The two other gentlemen which arrived along with the Moriarty brothers are named Sebastian, and Fred.
It was later revealed to us that they work for William.
Our discussions were mainly focused on the future plans of our job. Now that we have become allies, it was only logical to talk through strategies and ideas.
"Hm." Albert held his chin as he came to a realization that working together, perhaps, would not be as easy as it sounds.
In addition to previous concerns, another worry revealed itself into the light. Rumors. In spite of being two noble families well known for the reputation of high respect from others, people were well aware that, in general, there was one specific reason why noblemen would ally with noblewomen.
"Arranged marriage," Nina called out. Everyone shifted their attention towards her in confusion.
"What a peculiar proposal Lady GS," Albert replied, seemingly catching on to her intentions.
"Well, I t-thought..." Her stuttering notified my sisters and me that she was feeling uncomfortable with the attention which she received as the result of her proposal.
"I think that is an amazing idea." I blurted out in hopes of saving my sister from further embarrassment.
After a few seconds of little to no explanation for my statement, I finally absorbed everyone's attention. Including William's.
Don't you dare embarrass yourself in front of your professor Y/N.
"If you think about it, Lord Moriarty," I began to explain Nina's proposal for what I interpreted it to be. My eyes were focused on Albert. "Both of our families are well known throughout the entire country. Due to your military status and Sofia's success in many businesses, it is of no surprise that people of this country, whether rich or poor, would question our constant gatherings. For obvious reason, they aren't aware of what lies beneath our meetings, and I hope that all of you are on the same boat as me when I say that we aren't planning to reveal any of the qualified information to a curious stranger." I paused. As far as I could tell, everyone understood my speech.
"To provide further explanation, I believe that Nina considered the possible outcome of suspicion among the citizens; thereafter, she put forward the idea of arranging a false marriage between our families, so that our continuous gatherings would make the impression of a happy family going out for dinner and so on." I finished while smiling at Nina.
I may study more than my sisters, but it does not mean that they are just a group of idiots--incapable of resolving such easy problems.
As I allowed myself to breathe after my lengthy explanation of, what seems like a genius plan, I detected William, who was giving me a very visible smirk.
The power which I held at the moment was astronomical, knowing that I made my professor proud.
"I see," Albert replied. It is evident that Albert and Louis rely on William when it comes to making wise decisions. It became even more clear when Albert glanced at William to hear his response towards our proposal.
"It's quite amusing how the conversation has come to this conclusion," William stated after taking a sip of wine.
"Why is that, brother?" Louis asked for clarification.
"Coincidentally, yesterday, as I was thinking, I seemed to have come towards the same dilemma and came up with an equal outcome. Y/N's words were the embodiment of my ideas. I believe it is our best shot. Playing it safe is as important in our situation as anything else." William finished with his chin resting on his hands.
I smiled at William, delighted that our ideas balanced with each other.
"So the next question is, who will be our couple of guinea pigs." Sebastian broke his silence with an amused tone.
