--Y/N's POV--
My heartbeat sped up as our faces shared a gap of mere inches. I felt his breath on my lips, notifying me of a risque situation we have placed ourselves in.
Truth be told, the tension between us was far greater than any possible consequence we'd entail to face in near future, leaving us stripped of any dignity.
With each passing second, the gap lessened in its sizing, allowing for physical contact to happen at any moment.
And as that moment advanced to its finale...
"There you are!"
My eyes opened at a rapid speed accompanied by the burdening torment of a migraine. I rubbed my temples at a leisurely pace, contentment flowing through my body with each rub.
"Y/N? Have you woken up yet?" Suddenly Louis's voice appeared behind the door, knocking quietly in case I was still snoozing past the family breakfast. Which I had.
"Indeed." I made an effort to reply noisily in order for him to hear.
"I'm walking in." He warned before twisting the door handle. "I brought you some tea, it helps relieve the hangover." He whispered, aware of the pain that I've been experiencing.
"Thank you, Louis." I smiled gratefully yet my smile soon merged into confusion at an immediate realization, "But aren't you busy today? Have you and the rest of the gentlemen finally settled with your project?" I asked, taking a small sip of the tea for it was freshly made, and with that, fairly hot.
"It's not much of a project as it is more of a duty of a friend." He replied, collecting multiple versions of my demented expressions.
"Apart from being unblemished, William wanted the wedding to be safe as well. Thus, he and Albert hired a collective amount of furtive bodyguards, training them every day, from sunrise to sundown." He sat at the edge of my bed, explaining the reason behind their nonappearance. "Then, Sebastian made sure that he was satisfied with the outcome. If he wasn't, they would end up training for lengthier periods of time, with more extreme workouts, in order to match his expectations."
"I see..." I replied with my mouth opened wide at the beyond justifiable motives of their abiding disappearance.
Curiosity made me desire to witness the entire scheme so I asked Louis if he could take me there. With a small promise to not disclose the mentioned information to SoSo at any cost, he agreed.
For an unexplainable reason, I imagined them renting some sort of a gym to perform such excessive training; however, I was wrong. Instead, Louis led me to a boundless field of grass with a couple of trees that provided large shadows as shields against the sun.
There were approximately twenty-six men performing pushups, situps, and all kinds of various exercises, while William scrolled past each one of them to ensure that their formation was correct.
Albert stood underneath one of the trees, observing the situation until he noticed my presence.
"Y/N? What brings you here?" His face portrayed shock assorted with puzzlement.
"I told her," Louis replied instead.
Albert knew that Louis would never go against their plans, hence my presence didn't bother him, much to my relief.
"Perhaps it was an excellent idea to bring you here. Being the daughter of an extraordinary assassin as you are, you could teach them a few tricks." Albert winked cleverly.
