Jennifer was annoyed. Beyond that, honestly. There was a guy at her school who would one day make a wonderful husband. He is a great athlete, makes top-tier grades in his academics, cleans, cooks, takes pride in keeping up his hygienes, takes care of his teammates, a reliable person, and the captain of the school's volleyball team. And yet... He is still single! She asked every person in the school including some members of the volleyball team and they all confirmed he was indeed single. This infuriated Jennifer to the highest level, because how is a perfect man like that still single. He may be just really focused on volleyball or getting ahead in life, but there is no way that she was going to let a man that perfect out of her reach for a less than perfect girl ruin him. She was not perfect, far from it truthfully. But her mother taught her that when a good thing or person is right in front of you, never hesitate to take it. So here she was running about to find the infamous captain of Inarizaki High. When she ran into a cross paths, she came face to face with the volleyball team and the man she was seeking. Jennifer tried to stop but ended up falling on her ass.
"Dammit." she thought as a painful groan left her lips. She opened her eyes to see a hand outstretched for her to grab, looking up to see it belonged to the man she sought. Once she was on her feet, she thanked him and ensured him that she was okay when he asked. Before he could walk away, the girl inhaled all the confidence she could muster and spoke up.
"Kita-Senpai. I think you are an amazing person and it bobbles my mind knowing that you are still single. I don't want to rush into a relationship and ruin a great opportunity to stand by your side. So please allow me the pleasure of taking you out on a date.". This request not only shocked the older male along with the rest of the volleyball team but also anyone in earshot of the conversation.
"Um, but I don't know who you are." Kita pointed out nervously.
"That's why I'm asking you out. We can get to know each other over BBQ. You can get to know me and me, you.".
"I don't know. Usually it's the guy who's supposed to ask out the girl.".
"But if I waited for you to come to me, I'd be old and wrinkly. So it's best I make myself known to you and woo you into wanting to go out with me.". Kita paused to think about what she said and give it some thought.
"I guess you have a point, so there's no need to argue. But it's still sudden.".
"Then think about it. There's no need to rush. But if you do decide you want to go on a date with me then next Saturday night at eight pm, meet me at the bbq joint twenty blocks away from the school. If you're not there by eight twenty, I'll go home and forget this ever happened.". The girl smiled, turning away before waving and adding, "The choice is yours. Until then, bye Kita-Senpai.". And she walked away, leaving the captain and his team speechless.

Jennifer was shifting her weight from foot to foot, waiting anxiously as eight o'clock started approaching. She wanted to look cute without overdoing it since it was her first date.

She was looking in the opposite direction looking for the man of the hour when a hand grabbed her shoulder. Looking over and up, she was met with brown eyes and bi-colored bangs.
"K-Kita-Senpai. You actually came?".
"Yes. If my grandmother knew if I left a young lady hanging after mustering all of her courage to ask me out, she'll have my head. Plus my teammates made it so I had no excuse to not come.".
"Well I'm glad you came. I already made the reservation just in case you did show, so let's go in.". With that, the pair entered the restaurant. When they were settled in, they started with the basics such as: how their day was, clubs, after-school programs, and funny classroom experiences. Then they started talking about family, their childhood, and their friends. The couple got comfortable in each other's company as they cooked the different meat on the grill. While Jennifer was preoccupied with cooking, Kita took a moment to admire her beauty. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail and the outfit she wore was perfect on her body. The girl was too pretty to be real.
"You look pretty with your hair pulled back. It gives me the perfect view of your face," the boy smiled softly, going back to pulling food off the grill. The comment made the girl flustered as she thanked him. The pair ate so much and had a great time. Kita was even nice enough to buy dessert for his date since he was made aware of her sweet tooth. After paying for the meal, the older male walked his younger companion home.
"I had a great time and I hope you did too. This was both of our first dates, so I sure hope it was fun." Jennifer said as she faces the taller boy.
"I also enjoyed myself. It was surprisingly chill for a first date. I was expecting it to be more awkward, but this was fun.".
"See? No need for all that shy shit. It's like going out to dinner with a friend.".
"I suppose you're right."
"Well, thank you again. I'll see you at school.". The girl pats the male's arm before waving goodbye and going inside. The older boy smiled as he turned to walk home.

Jennifer was doing her school work when the door opened to show the Miya Twins. They made their way to the girl and asked her to follow them outside. Confused, she did and who was waiting for her was Kita with a small bouquet of pink roses.
"Kita, what's all this?".
"I really liked the date we went on last week. Do you think we can do it again and often?" he asked.
"Aww. Of course.".
"Really?".
"Yes. I enjoyed myself.".
"That's great. Also, I remembered that you said you liked pink roses the best so these are for you." the boy handed her the bouquet.
"Thank you so much.". The girl leaned up to kiss the older male on the cheek, making him smile with a deep blush on his face that made the girl giggle.
