~~~~~~~ William was so nervous. Today was an achievement ceremony and he had a feeling that his crush from the Black Bulls was going to be in attendance. He had been crushing on her since she first joined the Black Bulls a few years ago. This would be the first time he's seen her in a while since the elf incident and he hasn't been wearing his helmet as often anymore, hence his nerves. He paced in front of Klaus, Alecdora, David, and Hamon as he waited for the ceremony to start. "Captain Vangeance? Are you okay?" Klaus tried to reach out to no avail, the shorter man continue to pace. "If he's this uneasy, she must be coming today," Hamon replied with a giggle. "She who? Who are you talking about?" David questioned. Alecdora sighed before answering, "You'll see soon enough.". As if clockwork, the captain of the Black Bulls burst in with a woman on his shoulder. "Sorry for our tardiness. This brat was being stubborn," he announced as he placed the woman on her feet. "Long time no see, June. How was the vacation?" Jack asked the woman as she smooth out her dress. "Fuck you, Ripper. I was helping the forsaken realm rebuild.". "You got to buy me a drink before I fuck anything.". "When you can out-drink me, I'll buy your drinks.". "Is that a challenge, Slut?". "You know where the bar is, Hoe. Catch me there.". The pair shared a laugh as all eyes were on them, especially the Golden Dawn boys. "Damn. Who's the babe?" David asked as he stared shamelessly. "June Stark," Alecdora answered. "Otherwise known as Captain's future wife," Hamon added, making William cough to get his subordinate to stop but ending up getting the attention of the taller woman. "Aw, Will. Did you want attention too?" June asked as she strode up to him, hands right above her knees to be at eye level with him. "It's nice to see you again, June. Have you been well?" William started as composed as possible. "I'm well. It's nice to see you more comfortable without your helmet. I get to see my prettiest boy better.". The woman gently turned his head so she can kiss his cheek before walking back to her captain. Before David and Klaus could comment, the ceremony started.
After the ceremony, the adults went to the bar to celebrate June becoming a Grand Magic Knight. And they were partying with music, games, and drinks all around. "Captain. I'm at the same level as you. You must be so proud." June slurred, smushing Yami's face in her boobs. "I would be more proud if you didn't suffocate me in your tits," Yami replied, calming. "You should have more shame. All the time you spend with those two brutes and the alcoholic witch has tainted you." Charlotte said from the table she was playing poker at. "Fuck you, Prickly Bitch. You can talk to me when you stop running away from Captain Yami from the slightest gesture. Besides, I have someone I'm courting already." the intoxicated woman snapped back as she plopped on William's lap, wrapping him in her embrace. "Isn't that right, Darling?". William would have been flustered if she was sober, but when she's drunk that's another story. He was quite used to her drunken shenanigans, after all, she spends most of her time with Yami and Jack. "That is correct, Sweetheart." the man answered, one hand rubbing her back and the other one on her exposed thigh with his thumb rubbing the skin. "Hey, Goldy, when are you gonna stop flirting with my Subordinate and ask her out already." Yami's question made William flinch. "I agree," June paused to sit up and cup the man's face, "I'm a lot more insecure than you think and I hate when all those girls shamelessly swoon over you. Just tell me how you actually feel. Asshole.". She slumped her head on his shoulder, falling into a drunken sleep. William sighed and placed a kiss on the space under her jaw before picking her up. "It's about time you got her home.". "Yeah yeah.". Yami took a sleeping June and made his leave after wishing everyone farewell.
June was summoned to the Golden Dawn headquarters out of the blue and was wondering what could have happened for William to request her personally. One of the knights walked her to the garden where William stood waiting. "I wonder what I did to be called here." June started, playfully as she approached him. "Nothing to raise concerns. I wanted to speak with you. Please sit with me.". They sat on the side of the fountain, her hands in his and giving him all of her attention. "I have realized that we could be going into battle at any point soon and something could happen to either of us. So before that happens I need you to know that I'm in love with you. And have been since our first meeting. I couldn't tell you sooner because of everything that had transpired due to my negligence.". William cupped her face as he leaned her forehead against her, June sighed in contentment. "Oh William. You idiot. You could have told me sooner. Asshole.". "I'm sorry.". "You're fine. At least you finally told me.". The woman lift her head to kiss his forehead and the shorter man chuckled before cupping both sides of her face to steal a loving kiss.

June was ambushed by a large band of bandits and though she was holding her own, her magic was rapidly draining. She was so busy trying to immobilize the bandits surrounding her that she did not realize one of them aiming to surprise attack her. Suddenly all of the bandits were snatched up by what looked to be tree roots. The roots moved to reveal the captain of the Golden Dawn quickly approaching the woman. "Miss, are you alright? Are you hurt?" he questioned as he examined her. "I'm fine, but the hurting might come once the adrenaline ware off.". William realized that her clothing was revealing and damaged, making him blush. He removed his robe and placed it around her. "I'll heal you until Yami gets here.". The shorter man cast a healing spell while he orchestrated his knights to send the bandits away to the capital. Soon enough Yami showed up to bring June home. "You can return the robe when you get home safely," William told June when he noticed she was going to take it off. Even though she was stunned, the woman smiled softly and bent down to place a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you, Captain Vangeance.".
