Let Them Be In Love (Izuku Midoriya ft Katsuki Bakugo)

Izuku was walking back to the dorms with some of his classmates when he caught glimpse of Katsuki talking to someone familiar on the front porch. When he got closer, he saw it was Katsuki's girlfriend and her best friend that grew up with them, Jane and Ariana. The greenette wanted to talk to Ariana but was too afraid of upsetting Jane, who hates him because of how things went down between him and Katsuki back when they were kids. Even though Jane told the girl otherwise, Ariana was always the first to open up to him with a bright smile. Izuku was trying to play it off as him not noticing them, but as he heard a high pitch squeal of his name, the girl he wanted to speak to jump on him in a hug. Already used to her jumping on him, the taller male caught her quickly as the girl clung to him.
"Hey, Izu. I missed you, Love." the girl exclaimed, giddy.
"Hey, Ari-chan. Welcome back from the States. Have you been well?" Izuku asked hesitantly, relaxing upon seeing the girl's bright smile.
"I've been well. I hope things haven't been too bad since I've been gone.". Ariana cupped the taller male's cheeks, stroking them with her thumbs. This made the male smile gently, holding her closer.
"I've been well. A bit traumatized, but overall fine.". A voice clearing their throat snapped the pair out of their world, turning to see it was Jane.
"Deku, put my bestie down. Now," she demanded and Izuku compiled in fear of his life. The greenette bowed to apologize as Jane pulled Ariana away from him.
This always happened. He would get comfortable in her gentle and loving embrace but was stripped of it by Katsuki's girlfriend. If the male was not so afraid of the power that the girl possessed or who her boyfriend is, he would have been given her the business. He was in love with Ariana and when he tried to love Uraraka, she could not replace the girl he has longed for. If only he could get her to hear him out for once a judge him for the person he is now, not then.
"I'll let you guys continue talking. It was nice to see you again, Ari-chan." with that, Izuku bitterly walked away. Ariana watched him walk away; wanting to say something, but held her tongue.
"Oi. When are you going to stop that?" Bakugo asked Jane.
"Stop what?" she questioned in her 'innocent' voice.
"Stop blocking the two love birds.".
"I don't approve of him dating my best friend.".
"What are you basing that on?".
"He's toxic and a gaslighter.".
"He's anything, but towards Ariana.".
"Look. I'm better at reading people than you are.".
"Then you should be able to read that the nerd has changed since when we were kids. Just because he was that way a few years, doesn't mean he is destined to stay that way.".
"I don't care.".
"Whatever. Come on, I'll cook you two something.". This always happened, too. Katsuki and Jane would always fight over Izuku and how she would never give him a chance to show how much he has changed. Ariana would never say anything, because what her best friend said usually goes, or at least that was what she always thought. However, whenever it came down to Izuku she never agreed with Jane. It could be the girl being blinded by love, but if even Katsuki was defending the idea of them being in a relationship, maybe they could be.

The trio was watching tv in the living room, but Ariana was more interested in the freckled prince that was training outside as the couple cuddled on the other side of the couch. At some point, Jane went to the bathroom, but Ariana was preoccupied admiring Izuku. Suddenly, a hand gently hit her arm to get the girl's attention and she turned to see it was Katsuki.
"What's up, Suki?".
"How long are you going to admire from afar?" he asked so bluntly that it shocked the girl.
"I want to tell him but-".
"But you're afraid of what Jane would do and say to either you or Deku.". The blonde stole the words from the girl's lips, so she just confirmed it.
"Don't worry about her. I'll deal with whatever temper tantrum she'll throw. I'm sick of seeing you two moping like puppies who have been punished. And as for your friendship, you guys will be fine. You're too close to be broken apart because of a disagreement.". That being said, Katsuki patted her head before going back to playing on his phone until Jane came back.

Izuku sat on the porch to rest before he went inside to shower for bed. He opened his phone to see he got a text from Katsuki that read, "Hey damn nerd. If you're gonna tell Ariana how you feel, do it tonight. She volunteered to sleep on the couch so that Jane and me can have some alone time. Blow it and I'll blow you up.". The male is stunned that his childhood friend was willing to go against his girlfriend's wishes for his sake. Their relationship was improving so he guesses this was a way to strengthen their friendship. Whatever the reason was, he was not going to waste the opportunity to finally confess to Ariana without fearing Jane. Walking in, he spots Ariana laying on the couch playing on her phone. She was in her bedclothes with her hair in her dark green silk bonnet.

"Lord, she's so breathtaking," he thought as he ran his scared hands down his face. After encouraging himself, the male made his way to the girl; gently patting her back as he kneeled to her level. Overjoyed, Ariana hugs him and he returned it.
"Hey, would you like to stay in my room for the night? I wouldn't want someone like Mineta groping at you while you sleep," he suggested and the girl agreed quickly. The two made their way to his room and he let her stay there while he got ready for bed. While he was gone, Ariana silently cheered at the fact that they were going to finally get some alone time. When Izuku came back to the room, Ariana was comfortably cuddling his pillow as she scrolled through social media; looking up to see the taller male entering the room. She sat up when he sat next to her and grasped her hand as if she was fragile.
"Izuku? What's wrong?" Ariana asked, concerned about this new atmosphere. Izuku took a deep breath before looking at the girl beside him in the eyes, resting his forehead on hers.
"Ariana. I want to be your boyfriend. I know saying this is like signing an obituary, but I don't care. I love you and I'm tired of running from that fact. I'm tired of hearing about how your ex broke your heart. I want to love on you so much that you forget about them. Please be my girlfriend?". Ariana was speechless and overwhelmed with emotions.
"Izuku. Of course I'll be your girlfriend. I've always wanted to. I was so afraid that you would have given up on me because of my friend.".
"I tried to once, but you mean too much to me to be replaced by someone I haven't known as long as you. I was also afraid of your best friend killing me.". The pair chuckled at that last comment as they hugged each other, the bigger male pulling the girl into his lap. Ariana pulled back a bit to look at the male's face, pushing his hair back.
"Since we are official now, I have a nickname I would like to call you by if that's okay with you?" Izuku started, rubbing Ariana's sides.
"Aww. What is it?".
"How would you feel about me calling you 'Babe' or 'Babydoll'?".
"I would like that and think you are so cute.". Suddenly, Ariana planted a kiss on Izuku's lip and taking him by surprise. When the girl pulled back, he cupped her cheek to stop her and pulled her back down for another kiss. It started slow and hesitant, but then it heated up with fiery passion and longing. Once they pulled away for air, they shared snickers and spent the rest of the night cuddling.

The next morning, Jane was pissed that Izuku was dating Ariana and her own boyfriend orchestrated the whole thing.  After having a long conversation with her and bribing from Katsuki with food, she accepted Ariana's relationship with Izuku. Jane hated that her best friend was dating Izuku and made death promises if he ever broke Ariana's heart, but she loved her friend enough to support her relationship even if she did not like it one bit.
