Chapter 6 ~ Jay POV

The four of them gazed down into the Volcano. The lava bubbled and the fire spewed out like geysers. Jay reluctantly looked at Cole and pulled a face. He pointed at the heart of the Volcano.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" He yelled. "WE'RE GOING DOWN THERE?!" Cole looked nervous too.
"Look," Cole explained. "I don't wanna go down there, but we have to. It's either Sensei, or no Sensei" Jay sighed and nodded to his teammates.
"Let's go." He growled.

The last thing Jay wanted to do was do more climbing. But his jet pack had given up and he had to leave it behind. Jay just slid down on his butt, sometimes getting dirt in his eyes. Karma. He thought as he joined the other 3 at the bottom. They all shared worried glances. The lava bubbled just as it had before. Just as they were about to start clambering over the lava lake, they heard a shout.
"HELP!!!" A voice shouted. The four gazed up in the direction of Misako and Sensei, who were tied up above the lava.
"Oh no..." Jay shivered.

"Come on..." Cole grunted, yanking Jay behind him. "We gotta be qui-"

"SHUT UP AND KEEP GOING!!" Jay yelled. No one was motivated, but they suddenly went faster nonetheless.

After a while, the Ninja reached Sensei and Misako and started untying them. Shoving them along, the 6 headed out the cave. Jay had been chosen to trail behind, protecting the others. He pushed the ninja ahead. Suddenly, he heard a crunch. Jay spun around. Nothing. He suspiciously kept walking. Another crunch. This time Skylor stopped.

"Did you hear something?" Skylor looked over her shoulder. Jay nodded.

"I'll be right back.." Jay crept in the direction of the noise. The crunches seemed to be more frequent. Suddenly, someone clapped their hand across Jay's mouth and pulled them to the side. Before he could say 'Who are you?' he fell to the floor, unconsious, his last memory, a baton lying beside him.
