Me:OK. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available for free this month on PS Plus. So I decided to play through it and see for myself why it won RPG of the Year. And honestly....I wasn't impressed. In fact, a lot of the elements of FF7 were removed, including one of the most sacred moments in video games.
Onyx:Yep. They gutted the game so much. They even removed Aerith's death and replaced the story with some time paradox Bullshit.

Steven:Wow. The combat is great. It's just the majority of characters and the story....
Me:The more I played through this game, the more I kept wondering what the Hell was going on. First off: Aerith was just that annoying airhead type of girl. Tifa was just....ugh.....
Amethyst:Yeah. I get what you mean...
Me:Please tell me: How in the Hell do you see what Shinra was willing to do to get what they want. They were willing to kill 50,000 innocents just to get to Aerith. Yet Tifa and Aerith's mom honestly believed they WOULDN'T kill Aerith once they were done with her?
Peridot:Granted, Aerith doesn't die anyway, but still....
Me:Then we have this time paradox Bullshit that was so confusing that it actually made my head hurt.
Onyx:How did this win RPG of the Year? Because it's a Final Fantasy game? Because of Square Enix?
Me:To quote one of my friends: "They changed enough shit to get away with it." Anyway, let's move on.
