Zuko was sitting on top of one of the rocks on their riverside campsite. Katara, Sokka, and Aang were sitting on the beach near the rocks. With a half-put up tent put up next to Katara. Momo was laying on his back near Aang.
A green fish jumped out of the water multiple times. And Zuko could have sworn that it looked at Sokka multiple times.
"He's taunting us," Sokkat stated, glaring at the animal. He pointed at the fish. "You are going to be dinner." He ran back to his fishing rod, he then ran back to the water, trying to cast out his line. Sokka pulled his fishing rod back to him when nothing happened, he looked at it, then turned back to the ground, asking, "Hey, where's the fishing line?"
"Oh, I didn't think you would need it, Sokka," Aang replied, looking up at him. He then held up a fishing rod choker with an orange flower on it.
Zuko jumped off the rock, landing almost silently behind Sokka.
"Ah, it's all tangled," Sokka said, gesturing to what Aang had created. Zuko moved next to Sokka, his cloak brushing against the Water Tribe teen's leg. Sokka then looked at the assassin, saying, "Hi Zuko."
"Not tangled, woven," Aang corrected, then turned to Katara. "I made you a necklace Katara. Since you lost your other one..." He then held it up in front of his face, which had a smile plastered on it.
The Waterbender walked over, accepting it gratefully. "Thanks, Aang." She said with a smile, as she held it up in front of her neck. "I love it."
"Great, maybe instead of saving the world, you can go into the jewelry-making business," Sokka stated nonchalantly, moving his hand towards the side. Then he started moving back towards the water, Zuko still standing next to him as he did that. Zuko pulled a fishing line, and a hook out of his bag. The assassin held them out to Sokka, and Sokka looked at him.
Butterflies lit up in the assassin's stomach, something that had been happening since they had felt that weird energy between them since they met each other.
Then he pulled a hunting knife he had, that had a rope tied around it. He threw it at the fish, which had just jumped out of the water. It struck the fish, going completely through the animal.
"Haha!" Sokka exclaimed, pointing at the now-dead fish. "Take that!"
The older boy smiled softly at Sokka, his eye softening. Zuko looked back at the water, wrapping the rope around his hand, and pulling the fish to the shore. It hung in between the two teenage boys. Sokka looked at Zuko, with a mild look of admiration, before asking, "Can I take it?"
Zuko nodded, and Sokka pulled the fish off of the hunting knife. The assassin looked to the side, to see Aang looking at him slightly disappointed. He rolled his eyes at the Airbender, following Sokka over to the campfire. Zuko sat on his knees, while Sokka did the same thing, next to the assassin."So, how do I look?" Katara asked, turning around. She directed her question at Aang, while the Airbender looked at him with goo-goo eyes. Sokka attempted to light a fire, Zuko smiled, and pulled out his 'lighter' out of his pocket. Everyone still believed it was an actual lighter, but no one thought he used his Firebending to light it.
"You mean, all of you---or just your neck---I mean because they both look great."
He pulled his hand away from the wood, before the fire consumed all of the wood. Sokka looked up after he set the fish over the fire, saying, "Smoochie, smoochie. Someone's in love."
The assassin glanced up at the other two, and Aang rubbed the back of his head, looking down at the ground, as he stammered, "Well---I---" With Momo jumping up onto his owner's shoulder.
