Angel in Disguise

Yesterday, I had a bizarre and astonishing dream
I was climbing a horrifying sea cliff
Suddenly, my foot slipped
I almost fell
I saw death so close
I immediately thought about the people I love the most
My life flashed before my eyes
I wasn't prepared to say goodbye
But at the last minute, a woman came and saved my life
I can't remember her face
All I remember is her tight embrace

Then I woke up
I went outside
I needed to take some fresh air and clear my mind
The weather was partly cloudy
And my mind was quite foggy
I was bewildered
Yeah, confused and startled

I sat down, trying to comprehend
Trying to understand what in the blue hell just happened
I could not stop thinking
If that incredible woman wasn't there
I would have died sinking

Two days later
I went to a friend's of mine party
That party was quite boring and too ordinary
I didn't stay long
I'm the type of guy who would rather be lonely than try to fit into a place where he doesn't belong
I told my friend I'm out
And as I'm walking out
I saw a glamorous blondie standing alone
She reminded me of a beloved friend who had passed away a few years ago

Later that night
We went out together to a restaurant called " stay with me forever "
We talked about everything
Yeah, pretty much everything
Man, her voice was so soothing, yeah, very comforting
Hearing her talking while it was raining
That was something really amazing
In the middle of the conversation
She told me something that left me in a state of shock
She said that a few days ago
She had a weird and terrifying dream

I didn't say anything
I stayed quiet for a while
Then I hugged her so tight
She gave me that look
That man... It was you
Yes, girl, it was me
Will you marry me?

All this time
She was like an angel watching over me
Yeah, all this time
She was helping me
And lifting me up
God, she's the only person
I can't live without

I love her with all my heart and soul
She's the one I've been waiting for
I will always be there for her, supporting and loving her till the end of my time
I promised her no matter what happens
I'll always be by her side
Ma chérie, my sweetheart
I will always love you till death do us part
