Baba Moujib, my heart aches with longing
For the days we shared in the car
When I whispered dreams of making you proud
Do you remember that moment, dear father?
But know this, my dear Papa
I swear upon my soul
To strive with all my might
For Mama too, who believed in me
I promise to make you proud, endlessly
No faltering, no giving in
I'll fulfill my promise, from within
My angels, for real
I'm so thankful and so grateful
You are the air that I breathe and the oxygen that I need
Thank you so much for everything
You gave me all the things that I needed in my life
You held me, nurtured me, taught me, dressed me, fought for me, yelled at me, embraced me, and kissed me
But most importantly you loved me unconditionally
Oh Daddy dear, your voice will always stay here
In my mind, it plays, like a song so clear
Memories of you, a treasure I hold tight
Your voice is a symphony that brings me light
The last words you spoke to my sister, praising and thanking me for being by your side
Baba Moujib, I would have given anything just to see you content and at peace
Those words will forever be etched in my memory
And I remember that day
When you said you hadn't felt such joy and fulfillment in ages
Later that night, Baba Moujib left this Planet Earth with a peaceful smile on his face, finding eternal rest and happiness in the heavens above
Le chef, le champion
Thank you so much for everything you've done for us
Thanks for all the lessons and for always being there
My heart is filled with gratitude
For all the guidance and love you've given
Baba Moujib, don't worry, for I am here
To tend to dear mother, my guiding star
She is my everything, my light in the dark
I promise to always keep her safe, to ease her pain
And to bring joy to her heart, again and again
Forever and always, I will love and cherish her
With love as my guide, I shall always be by her side
Till the end of time
To make her feel safe, to make her shine
With every breath, with every prayer
I'll love you more and more, I swear
For you are my rock, my guiding light
Dad, you made everything feel right
