"Give me a V... V"

"Give me an A... A"

"Give me a N...N

"Give me an E...E"

"Give me an S...S"

I felt someone jumping on my bed and instantly shot up. I squinted my eyes and cocked an eyebrow as I looked at what was going on.

"Give me an S...S"

I glared at Sharise as she made the shapes of letters with her hands like a cheerleader.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" I groaned as I lay back down and covered my head with the pillow.

"Give me an A...A! What does that spell?...

...Miserable bitch!" She groaned as she flopped down onto the bed next to me.

"Sharise just... go away, I'm tired" I snapped as I pulled the blanket back over me.

"But I wanna go for lunch at Francisco's" she moaned. I could tell she was giving me puppy dog eyes, even though mine were closed.

"Look, I know we haven't spent a lot of time together lately and I've been a crappy friend but life has just been so crazy..." she rambled as she squeezed my side.

"It's fine, just let me sleep" I huffed.

I felt her get up and heard her footsteps on the floor. I thought she was leaving so I opened my eyes but she grabbed the curtains and opened them. The glare from the sun hit my eyes and I squeezed them tightly shut.

"Seriously!?" I yelled.

I felt the covers come flying off me.

"Get up and get ready! We're going out" she said sternly, with her hand on her hip.

I knew Sharise wasn't going to leave me alone, so I got ready and she drove us over to Francisco's, stopping off at a coffee house on the way. The entire time she didn't shut up about how perfect her and Vince's life was. She kept talking about what was going to happen with the band now and that they were looking at buying an apartment out in Malibu, which really didn't surprise me. They were like the walking, talking Barbie and Ken.

"So, Tommy told us you guys are going to Greece!?" She said excitedly as we sat down at a table.

"Oh, can we grab two margaritas" She said to the waiter.

"Actually, can I just get a water?" I asked.

I could see Sharise scowling at me from the other side of the table.

"Okay, you can drive home... 2 margaritas and a water please" she smiled.

The waiter smiled at us and asked us if we wanted any food. I really didn't have much of an appetite so I ordered a chicken salad to graze on.

"Salad and water? What's gotten into you?" She asked, almost sounding disgusted.

"I don't know, I'm just not feeling too great" I sighed.

I looked up and she was frowning at me.

"I know I talk about myself all the time, but you can tell me anything you know... you just haven't seemed like yourself lately" she said. She seemed sincere for the first time today.

"I'm fine..." I said, but my voice cracked.

"V!? What's going on!?" She said as she bent down next to me and rubbed my back.

I could never hide anything from Sharise so I let everything out.

"Everything's changing and I-I can't handle it. It's all too much" I confessed.
