part 33

it wasn't until two in the morning when y/n woke up to the twins crying so she sat up breastfeeding them then she burped them and changed them then the doctor came in with their birth certificates so y/n put the names kobe said in her dream

Y: um i can sign but their dad is actually kobe morris the one in your intensive care
Doctor: oh ok yea you can sign and we'll get him to sign it when he wakes up

y/n shook her head and signed it then the doctor gave her them and she laid it down on the counter next to her

Doctor: oh i just got news that he's awake so i'll be back with these
Y: wait can i see him
Doctor: i'm sorry but you can't be up right now maybe tomorrow
Y: what if he doesn't have until tomorrow
Doctor: i'm sorry but you can't be walking right now you lost a lot of blood when you had your little incident it would basically be suicide for us to let you walk around
Y: fine

y/n sat back while the doctor walked off with the birth certificates while he was gone she just played with the twins hands not wanting to let them go then the doctor came back laying them back down and walking out and she looked seeing kobe's signature and a smile came across her face and she leaned back down on the bed watching movies and talking to the twins even though they probably didn't understand anything she was saying

Derek: good morning sunshine
Y: you stayed this whole time
Derek: of course i was in the waiting room waiting until they told me you woke up
Y: everyone just left you
Derek: yea but i told them to some offered to wait with me but it's not hard to see who really wants to wait and who's just being nice
Y: you're right
Derek: so any news on kobe
Y: well he's well enough to write apparently
Derek: that's good have you seen him
Y: no they won't let me they say me walking around this early on is basically suicide
Derek: oh well what's the babies name
Y: dior and alaina
Derek: why those names
Y: because when i almost died those were the names kobe said in my dream
Derek: can i hold them
Y: oh sure

y/n handed them to derek one at a time and he sat down on the couch that was in there

Derek: hello i'm uncle derek the funniest uncle you'll ever have and the cutest like literally all of your other ones are alright but none look better than me and your dad no way
Y: don't lie to them
Derek: well your dad maybe the others nah i'm by far the best it's just a proven fact but even with all that just know your family already loves y'all so much even though i'm the first one even holding y'all besides your mom

derek continued talking to the twins until they fell asleep so he put them inside their incubators and sat down on the bed next to y/n then he laid his head on her lap making sure not to lay on any of her things while she played with his hair

Y: tell your ugly ass friend to grow his hair out
Derek: he is though
Y: yea dreads mother fucker refuses to just get regular curls
Derek: leave my mans alone and let him have his dreads

y/n laughed a little and she stretched before laying back down and playing with his hair again

Y: actually i have a question
Derek: what
Y: in my dream you called me and said you loved me more than anyone else and i was your first crush is any of that true or was it just apart of my dream
Derek: uhh yea it is you were my first crush the day we were throwing your phone around in class that was the first time i saw you and i liked you but you liked kobe
Y: ok now answer the other half of the question
Derek: well yea but i'm with kenzie so shouldn't that feeling be gone now
Y: is it
Derek: no that's why i don't know what to do
Y: i can't tell you what to do because i don't know either but just so you know it'll stay between me and you no one else will know
Derek: thank you
Y: of course
Derek: are we still best friends
Y: duh derek i wouldn't replace you that easily you'll always be my best friend

derek smiled then after a while he fell asleep on y/ns lap while she was just up for a while in her thoughts then she fell asleep also hours past and the others came in looking for a while until ava woke them up and they rubbed their eyes before turning their heads and looking at the others

Y: oh hey
Kenzie: what's this
Y: derek fell asleep on me since he was the only one that stayed the whole time
Kenzie: oh
Y: yup oh one sec

y/n pressed her nurse button then once the nurse came in she asked how kobe was then she asked if she could try and walk so she agreed then she let her try standing up once that was good she slowly walked to his room while the others stayed in the room with the twins once she made it in the room she saw he was sleep so she weakly crawled in the bed and laid next to him kissing his cheek

Kobe: hey baby i missed you
Y: i missed you too are you ok
Kobe: yea i'm fine i just need some head medication
Y: do you want me to get your doctor
Kobe: nah i just wanted you to give me head but ok
Y: only you can almost die and still make a sexual joke
Kobe: why not

y/n laughed then rolled her eyes and laid her head back on kobe's talking to him
