it was a year since kobe died and y/n was never the same she was depressed ever since he left and she never smiled since that day the twins started walking even then all she did was shake her head the kids asked about kobe nearly everyday and every time they did she cried today she was taking them to see his grave until derek called her

Derek: i'm giving up on everything i'm so done
Y: what do you mean derek
Derek: just know i love you y/n more than anyone else you were my first best friend actually my first crush and i wish i would've told you before now but look after kenzie and maya for me they're going to need it
Y: no derek please don't do what i think you are
Derek: i lost my best friend y/n it hurts so much
Y: just tell me where you are
Derek: the cliff
Y: ok stay on the phone with me i'm on my way

y/n quickly grabbed her keys and ran out the door and into her car driving as fast as she could to the cliff once she made it she hung up and called dereks name once he saw her he backed up more to the edge

Y: stop derek please i know it hurts losing him trust me i know i lost him too and it's hurting me ten times more but this isn't the way he would want us to move on and be happy please i can't lose both of you please don't leave me
Derek: i'm sorry y/n just know you were always my main support system and i'll always love you

derek started backing up and then he jumped while y/n tried to catch him but she was too late and she looked away when he hit the ground and she bust out crying

Y: derek no no no why would you leave me too why is everyone i care about leaving me

just then y/ns phone went off so she picked it up answering and it was davine crying

Davine: michael just shot himself

y/n just dropped the phone and held her mouth as tears poured down her face at a rate she couldn't control she then got up and walked all the way back home and she went into her room just looking blankly at the wall then she went back downstairs with cherry, mike, and the kids

Y: hey babies i love y'all so so much y'all mean the world to me and i'm sorry your dad isn't around anymore it hurts i know trust me i know but there's nothing i can do i failed you just like i failed derek and mike i'm sorry but just know y'all mean so much to me and i'm sorry everything has to end like this
Cherry: what do you mean end like this
Y: i'm sorry

y/n walked back upstairs locking her door then she went into the bathroom with her gun while the sounds of the others banging on the door echoed through the house then she pulled the trigger when the bang went off she opened her eyes seeing doctors surrounding her with IVs and blood bags

Doctor: she woke up
Y: what happened why am i still here i thought i was dead
Doctor: you were after you gave birth you passed out and your heart stopped for nearly fifty minutes
Y: where's my babies
Doctor: they're in our care trust me they're ok
Y: what about kobe is he alive
Doctor: yes kobe is fine he's on life support and once he wakes up the cops want to talk to him about what happened
Y: no i want the sheriff to talk to him only please
Doctor: alright well get some rest you did good

the doctor walked out and y/n rubbed her head wiping the tears on her face and let out a sigh of relief knowing that was all just a dream then ida and vanessa came back in

Ida: don't ever scare me like that
Y: i had a dream while i was dead that kobe didn't make it and a year later derek killed himself along with mike and then i did too but as soon as i did i woke up
Ida: maybe that's a sign that you're not ready to die yet and the people around that love you aren't ready to lose you either
Y: but it's been so hard lately
Vanessa: we know and i wish i could say it gets easier but this is the way of growing up shit happens and you just for a second wishes it would all stop but it doesn't happen like that i'm sorry

y/n sighed then just looked off not saying anything until the doctors brought the twins in and she held them kissing their heads and hugging them then she laid back closing her eyes while the babies clung to her and they all three went to sleep while the others were in the waiting room pacing back and forth then ida and vanessa went in

Mom: is my baby ok
Ida: she's fine she's sleeping right now
Mom: oh thank God
Lovina: what about kobe
Ida: why are you here
Lovina: because i want to make sure kobe is ok
Ida: you know y/n doesn't like you
Vanessa: not right now guys we need to be here praying for kobe not arguing but i think y/n is the only one that knows anything right now so we have to wait until she's awake to ask
Josie: just wake her up
Vanessa: listen little lady you try giving birth to two kids and almost dying then you can have the whole group wake you up if you want to

vanessa rolled her eyes sitting back down in her chair and waiting
